I thought you weren't supposed to drink and drive at the same time. I mean like when the Coke (or Pepsi) starts foaming up your nose from being to warm and all shook up, then you end up spraying the junk all over the inside of your helmet , then you can't see and your trying to wipe the helmet lense off or the inside of your windshield :rotf: Just an accident waiting to happen.

Any word if 2009 Venturer will be EFI?
Sleeperhawk replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
My source says 09 is more of the same, 2010 a new package. They also said Yamaha will not discontinue the bike like they did the VMAX, they still believe the 09 model will be a money maker. So take this all with a mug of beer. -
Based on the pics on his website, all the Blue/Black bikes went with the Black grill. That would be a lot of blue in the lowers.

RSV Miles per Gallon, Speeds, and Odometer Errors
Sleeperhawk replied to V7Goose's topic in Watering Hole
V7Goose, I have never gotten close to 200 miles per tank, because when the low fuel light comes on around quarter of a tank and reserve a couple of miles later, I am looking for a gas station, this is usually around 150 miles. Usually takes round 4.1 to 4.5 gallons. I have had it down to 1 bar around 165 and took about 5.1 gallons. All this around 75 to 85 on speedometer. So I guess I just flat don't trust the fuel gage and don't feel like pushing the bike. My question is do you really trust the bike to 200 miles? -

I thought there was a big difference in the 1st gen, one being the ROYALE which had all the gizzmoes and the other 'Plain Jane' Some 1st geners will be speaking up today about this.

My vote goes for Northern Colorado up to Alberta. Why would anyone in their right mind want to ride in 90+ temps and humidity above 60% during the summer months. Down South, that includes Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Southern Utah. Have any of you looked at the average temps and humidity in these areas. From what all said about Northern Colorado the temps were hot during the day unless up in the higher elavations which most of us would be. As someone said, lets keep the Rally rotating between two places and leave it at that OR just stick with the 3 to 4 day type events like Vogel, Skid's, or Eureka Springs.

Oh it does sparkle with the right chrome Also put chrome on the lids of the side bags. Riderduke has seen the 'new' chrome and says it really looks sharp.

Okay, for those of you that bought or looking at the 08 Charcoal, the official color code is a blue gray, no silver anywhere, even Yamaha is color blind. The color code 0919, The website for the color code is http://www.cyclesurge.com/servlet/the-131/Road-Royal-Star-Stratoliner/Detail

Yeppers and us too.

Since most of the 08 around here are going for close to 18000 and I got mine for around 15500, I figured it was a good deal. Especially since I do trust this dealer. and I did not have to go out of state which would have cost me gas, motel, food. Later in the year, you will get a better deal, just depends on how bad you want it now.

Okay, so I may have missed a post, but who won the trailor? I am sure it was someone who attended the event :stirthepot:

Have they finally paved the parking lot, or is 29Dreams still gravel? At one point a bunch of us had memberships, but when they raised the dues again and again we said enough.

Unless, he has repainted the 08, 08 only came out in two tone Black/Black Cherry and Charcoal (replaced the midnight) and I have the Charcoal. The color code really states it is a blue gray color. Depending on the lighting, I have seen it look like black to a light gray color. I really like the color. :cool10:

Thanks this is the info I needed. When you ride solo, do you notice a reduction in being buffeted by wind? -
My New Clearview Windshield
Sleeperhawk replied to Tom's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
So far everyone says there great, but HOW are they great? Is the passenger happy with it? If it is just because of the vent, a vent can be put into the Yamaha shield. So just more specifics would be nice. :stirthepot: -
There are four hoses hanging down by the left exhaust. I am having gas drip out of one of them. Is this due to a stuck float? New 08.

Or the Starter Relay switch, located in front of the fuel filter. Had this go out on me on the 05, would turn over, but no spark.

Ok, when I get to about 110/115, either in 4th or 5th it is like there is a govnor on the bike. As long as I keep it around 110, no problem, but beyond, bike acts like it wants to go but can't So you others, how are you getting past this speed barrier
