I was checking the general tech section... and saw a rather routine sounding "trick" for we height challenged riders... lower the front forks by 1"... but it was adressed to the 2nd gen... They simply loosen the triple tree clamps (after removing tons of stuff to get there) and slide the fork tubes up and tighten her back down. Anybody done this on a 1st gen? Clearance issues? I sure hope it's that easy... it would be a wonderful help to my bike leaning SO far over on the side stand after upgrading to progressive front springs! And yeah, I'm a little low at the inseam.

that I RETIRED the end of November. YEA ! After 30 plus years at the same job, it was time to change direction. My wife will continue to work and hopefully give me gas money for the bikes. Hope to get the honey-do list done by summer so we have time to see old and new friends on this great site.

This is at least two states that have said no to the Slingshot. Texas also gave it the thumbs down. I think it's ridiculous but I wonder what it means for the future of this trike? I hope they get it worked out. There's not one in our immediate future but Eileen really wants one. Connecticut DMV says no to Polaris Slingshot | Fox News

I had received a couple of complaints about the links in posts being hard to distinguish from regular text. I have made a change now so that links are underlined and when you hover over them, they are underlined and overlined. I hope this makes it a bit easier to see them. It was requested that I make them blue but that really messes up the style of the entire site because it's a global setting and changes all the links on the forum listings and etc. to blue. I hope the underline serves the purpose.

I love doing this - it's called Aussie 'oneupmanship'. We're doing the count down to 2013 and as I type we have eight minutes to go. So - Happy New Year to y'all whenever it gets to you (about 10 hours or so). I hope you didn't fall over that fiscal cliff!

With the world coming to an end today I just wanted everyone to know what a pleasure it has been. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member on these forums. It is one of the things I think I will miss most in the next life. I can't help but wonder if there will be motorcycles to ride or if walking will be the norm. Any how, I hope to meet up with all of you on the other side. Mike

Now for the next 100k. Brought my 05 RSV Midnight on 12-28-08, with 15k on it from PO. It has been a blast riding this past 4 years. Hope to keep it going for 4 more.

Anybody got lucky this year yet? Shooting a deer I mean. I took a 5 point on Nov. 15 at one in the afternoon. I still have a doe permit that I hope to fill during muzzleloader season.

My ridding buddy just made the deal. He is trading his 08 HD Ultra in on a new Venture. The dealer had to get it from another dealer and it should be ready for pick Saturday. I sure hope he is happy with it. Earl

Steve Neal's wife Ann called me today to advise that Steve is in the hospital in ICU with a heart attack. Evidently, he had four stints put in and is doing well. I hope to get by to see him tomorrow and will be able to give a better update. RandyA

added some bling to the saddlebag hinges to match the engine fins. hope to get some more made up for other members soon.
