Well I think I am in need of some new clutch springs, at the least. I took my scoot out today with my wife and just let her run. About 4000 rpm I could feel the clutch starting to slip, not much just a little slip, and only in 3rd gear up. Do you all agree that just a spring upgrade is all I need or do I need to think about an entire clutch altogether. Thank You. Shaun I think SkyDoc sells the clutch stuff, will have to dig around.

OK I believe i have an ignition switch going bad. I turn on the key and nothing other than the stero works. I keep turning it off and on and finally the dash and everything else comes on 28,000 miles on the bike. Does everyone agree it's the switch and if so where is cheapest place to buy one and can I keep the original lock and key.

I am a little concerned that some of the posts righting that the stoping distance are based on the tyres. My thought is that your stopping distance is based on not on your tyres, but the weight the tyres are carrying and the condition of the road at the time you knead to stop. I am one not to skid my tyres to stop the flat spot it crates is not one I want. The tyres I bye are for handling and distance do you agree.

Hey all, just trying to get a lot of supporters for this. I think that in the forums, if you see a post you like, but dont want to quote it to show you agree with it, they should have maybe a Like button, or a Thumbs Up or Down to show that you agree with them. Just a thought, if any of you have any suggestions or want think this is a good idea, please post in the forum, if we make enough posts, maybe freebird will have to see it! OK folks, I know that I'm WAY late in finally getting this contest started but it's just been very busy lately. So I am going to keep it simple. I REALLY need your input as to where you would like to see the 2009 International Rally held. So, all you have to do is reply to this thread as to WHERE the rally should be held and WHY you would like to see it held there. Now I know that some of you will agree on certain places and that is fine, your recommendation does not need to be unique but you DO need to at least briefly explain your reason. Now this does not mean that the rally will be held at any particular place. Even if many of you agree on a location, we still need folks from any given area to step up and take charge of it and if nobody does, then we have to look elsewhere. So, this contest will run for 1 week. The winner will be randomly selected from all of you who post your recommendations to this thread. Would you call your best bikin buddy over to help you get out of a jam even though you knew ahead of time that he was going to laugh at you for how you got into that jam?? Worse yet...how about if he'd only agree to help you if you posted pictures of the jam you got yourself into? PS: both tires are in the air!

I see that somebody just posted in the classifieds that they bought a '99 that somebody has put the pillow top seat on. He doesn't like it and is looking for a regular seat. Might be a good chance for one of you who are wanting the pillow top to make a deal. I agree with him though, the pillow top is WAY soft for me. I know that some of you really like them though.
