After 15 hours in the saddle, we are home at 9:40 pm Sunday A little over 1700 mile round trip. It was a great weekend, seeing old friends and making new ones. The bike presentation was great and I even got to ride the bike for over 100 miles. Muffinman was on my 08. Want to thank BEER30 for letting the Mechanic ride with him in his pickup for most of the heat of the day. You all Ride Safe.

V7Goose, we are planning on going to Riderdukes (Fredericksburg, VA) Thursday night, then leave from there Friday for Ohio. Dang, would have been great to meet up with you going I77 route. I77 becomes a toll road in West Virginia. I guess not enough people stop at DQ to pay taxes. :rotf:

I do not know why you only got 7500 out of the rear, but we ride 95% 2 up and have always gotten 14000 out of the AVON rear tire and no problems in the rain. Tried going to 15000 once and the cords started showing.

Only 1 large hole, the previous owner most likely drilled the holes for more sound.

Help-Oil Around Left Side Carbs
Sleeperhawk replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Most likely to much oil. Check your site glass and should only be half way. Also, I thought I had read a post somewhere, that there may be an issue head bolts not properly tighten on the 06 or 07 model. -
It has something to do with FireFox. I clicked and had around 3000 items. Tired the IE browser and saw only Venture Motorcycle related stuff. :confused24:

Sleeperhawk's Mechanic Needs Your Help!!!!
Sleeperhawk replied to Sleeperhawks Mechanic's topic in Watering Hole
They can keep her locked up until she makes me a Cherry Pie. Only time I see a pie now, is when one of you guys drop in. And then I get one measly piece maybe, if you guys allow me to cut into it. :crying: -
How involved are MC inspections in your State?
Sleeperhawk replied to Tartan Terror's topic in Watering Hole
No bike or car inspection in South Carolina -
I used 10w-40 amsoil, mobil1 and they both at start up had the clatter. Went back to using 20w50 mobil1 motorcycle specific and no issues.

She is mine and you can't have her. :rasberry::rasberry: It was great time being with you and Brandy at Myrtle Beach. :cool10:

For me, Don's link about award winning, causes both Firefox and IE scroll forever left and right. The messages no longer fit within a page. Squeeze's messages are causing the same effect.

Keep An Eye On Your Rear Shock
Sleeperhawk replied to M61A1MECH's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
On my 05, I am on my 3rd shock with about 60000 miles, and I ride 2up mainly. So far each covered under warranty.
