  2. Why am I having trouble copying and pasting an internet picture to my post?? Instead of a pic I get the web address.... I don't think it's me as I can paste a pic on other boards using this new format without a problem.... http://www.cast-aways.com/CODYPICS/yellowstone_national_park_bison_geyser_lg.jpg
  3. I think some time ago someone said they would appreciate dead radios to experiment on. I’ve got one, send me your address if you want it. It only receives AM stations very weakly. The AUX input works fine.
  4. After 7 closing attempts, My Bank Rep quitting, and the previous owner stealing everything that wasn't bolted down in the garage the day before we moved in, we finally got to sleep in our "new to us" house the first weekend in Sept! My 55 year old brother, my 75 year old uncle, my 16 year old nephew, and Jean and myself, gutted the house, hung 58 sheets of dry wall, all new carpet, vinyl flooring, oak laminate flooring, and a kitchen make over in 24 days. While I worked a 12 hour shift 6-7 days a week during the month of August. I have attached a few pics. I humbly apologize to anyone who has tried to contact me, or has purchased any items during the renovation of the new house, or the move in. Our computer service was just connected on Monday, and my "old" computer crashed a week before the move. I know that I owe a few people items from the Classifieds. Please bear with me, as we unpack the MANY boxes that have made the trek from the old to the new house. My email has changed, my address has changed, my computer has changed, but in short order, I hope to have everything up and running again. If you have recently purchased an item, please feel free to contact me thru a PM and as soon as the Psychic we hired arrives, I am sure we will find that box that has your parts in it, and get them right out to you!:crackup:Mark, (Mag1101) stopped by over the weekend to see if I was still kickin', and it was great to see a fellow VR.ORG member. There are still many things to do, but at least we are making progress. My new email address and address will be in my profile shortly, if you have an interest in the items in the Classifieds, please contact me directly thru a PM, the Paypal email address has NOT been changed in the ads yet. Thanks to all for their concern, and I hope to have my "New Shop" up and running in the coming months. Earl and Jean.

  7. Finally gave up on idea of doing things myself. I think my 21st Birthday slipped by me someway. Hired a contractor to do block& footers and get ready for Garage. Had my digging tools out leaning against a tree. Noticed when he finished 1st day all my tools were in his pile. Didn't show up 2nd day didn't call or anything. This is after I forked over 1000 bucks to get him started. Got one good days work out of them. Starting to wonder. I have his name and address. Think a 20 x 40 Garage is big enough?? Not up to Skids standards but pretty good sized. Might even be room for car. New G 6 not liking to sit out in weather.

  14. Oh, was I gone?? Why, yes I was! Monday afternoon we had some really wild weather here in Western New York. We had 2 tornadoes touch down, heavy rain, and thunder and lightening. At around 6 PM our cable went out. No TV, no phone, and worst of all no internet!!! I was having withdrawal symptoms!! The fun part was getting the address for Marcarl's surprise birthday party for Marca. No internet meant I couldn't get the address, and no phone! Oh, wait, I own a cell phone!! Now where are the numbers to call Canada??? We made it to the party right on time thanks to Carl having his cell on. I will post on that later. Got home and found we finally had cable back!!!!!
  15. Am I the only one........or does anyone else find it strange that Comagination lists no phone number and no address on their website. http://www.headlightmodulator.com/ and/or http://comagination.com/ Don't know about you......but I'm a little reluctant to send hundreds of bucks to someone without a business phone........or ANY phone. Likewise with the address thing! Anybody out there own any of their products? Thanks, Michael
  16. An unemployed man is desperate to support his family of a wife and three kids. He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test. The human resources manager tells him, 'You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where to report on your first day.' Taken aback, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address. To this the manager replies, 'You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a high-tech firm. Good day.' Stunned, the man leaves Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25 lb. crates o f beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit. Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family. During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day. By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly. Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck. At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him. By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes. He continues to work hard. Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse that his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business grossed over one million dollars. Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance. Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail address in order to send the final documents electronically. When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned, 'What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!' 'Ha!' snorts the man. 'If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.35 an hour.' Which brings us to the moral of the story: Since you got this story by e-mail, you're probably closer to being a janitor than a millionaire. Sadly, I received it also

  19. Are you lurking out there? Faith is a nice lady I met on the way to Vogel. Can't remember exactly where I was but I don't often know exactly where I am...Faith is a Venture owner that I gave site address to. Don't want to scare her off but seeing me didn't seem to upset her too much. She wanted to know what year my old wreck was.
  20. A few of you have had dealings with HID Country. A while ago, about 6 months, I purchased a motorcycle H4 kit and a dual kit for H3 application. The H3 kit was not even close to the size they said it was and would not fit my fog lights so I sent it back. No problem there but there was a part that indicated it was for H4 which I did not return as I thought it was for the MC H4 kit but turned out it wasn't. I have been trying to find out what this part does. It looks like it could be a relay but has two connectors that apparently would hook up to two ballasts. The problem I am having is getting this part identified. I have been corresponding with Mike without success. He does not seem to know what parts my order included. He has not been very responsive, wait for a reply for a few days or a week then send a query through the site to support and perhaps get a response. Anyway, it getting a bit frustrating. The only other person I have corresponded with is Jason who appears to be their technical person. What I would like to know is if anyone has an email address for Jason? Attached are two pix of the part I am trying to ID. It would be helpful f anyone knows what that part does. In any case, I would like to contact Jason directly if I can find his address.
