    mufflers

I would really like to have a set of stock RSTD mufflers if anybody has some.
  9. Clean it and fix it with JB weld. Just be sure to leave it shallow so you can go over it with bondo and paint. That way at least you could use the bike over the weekend.
  10. You guys will go out and buy a wing AND just after that the new venture will roll out.. :rotf: :rotf:....
  11. My thought thoughts are since the other party has not paid for the shipping that you did and now wants out of the deal I would say that when the bubs are back (in the same shape you sent them) you'll ship his mufflers back in the same shape you received them. That way the cost is split evenly.Paying for a set of stock pipes over a set of custom pipes, well the customs are worth much more in the market place.
  12. I remember that. On the RSV the inner fairing would crush that. There's like an inch an a half between it and the tank when the handlebars stop. Not having an RSTD around I could never quite get the picture of what you were trying to do when you sent that drawing. Now I see. On another note I am beginning to make up more Knee Blockerss for the up coming cool weather for those of you that don't have them yet.
  13. Yep, Just before they put that new V-max engine in the new model.
  14. Try clearing all your cookies and your recent history. That usually fixes browser problems.
  15. Shoot Charley, Lake Medina was down about 40 ft last year. This spring there was enough to bring it back up. Don't worry, You'll probably be floatin in it next year.
  16. I think the sound is going to travel thru the shafts and to all parts of the engine so sound insulating material may only make a minimal change.
  17. Sats are too slow. There's so much latency that games are unplayable. Remote desktop and just about any remote control software won't work. Movies are a joke. I have a brand new used for less than 30 days hughes dish on my roof that 2 years old now. Went back to the radio within the 30day time frame but still cost me 300 buck just to find out it ain't worth 100 a month. The guys I have are jerks also but they are the only game in town so that's all I can play for 63 a month.
  18. I have to agree, Its the fact they limit the RPM's so much on the 2nd gens. If we could turn over 8k then we would be running about the same as the 1st gens.
  19. Dan, You taking 1st gen motors apart on the table again ???

  21. The silver 05s already have the black fins. I went ahead and sanded the edges with 220 the 400 then 800 and they came out pretty shinny.
  22. :rotf: Sorry,It would just look like a Chinese fire drill on a bike if I was watching it from the corner...
  23. I would do that but a different way. Pull the HD out and put it in an external drive case. Put a new HD in the PC and install your OS and programs. Then attach the failing HD in the external HD case and copy what ever you can off of it. If its failing you may not get anything or you may get everything. Depends on if its heads at hitting the platters or its having speed/revolutions issues. Check the fans and heatsinks in the PC to be sure they are clean also.If the MB is losing the drive controller or having memory problems you'll have the same problem with a new HD when you try to install the OS
  24. The PIAA's are far superior to the Silverstars. Even on the back of their package (Slyvania) they show the life of a Silverstar to be less than half that of a standard halogen. Just walk into any automotive store and pick up the Xtravision package and look at the back of it.It shows the life expectancy of all their bulbs. I have Piaa's in the Rav and on the bike and after 4 years one finally blew.
