We did a training video on refueling (everything from aircraft to fuel cans) in the USAF way back when. It was titled "Great Balls of Fire" with the same song as the lead in. Your biggest problem when refueling anything is Static Electricity. The fuel itself running down the neck of the filler will create static. Several things to remember. ALWAYS keep the nozzle in contact with the filler neck. ALWAYS refuel a can sitting on the ground. The colder and dryer it gets the more static becomes a problem. Static will discharge (spark) when the two bodies are at different electrical levels hence the reason for keeping the nozzle in contact. Don't

3 dead cylinders back to life.. what?

If it clears so suddenly I would be looking for electrical problems. Fuel problems that clear so quickly are usually only from a tank not venting. Did any body take the fuel cap off ? -

Hey Brian, I have a set of front brakes for a 2nd gen here. They have about 80% left on them. Holler if you want them.
-
You ain't gonna be looking at the back of very many bikes I can tell you that. These bikes may only have 80 at the wheel but they are fast. I was getting on the freeway today following a sport bike and we both nailed it. At 80 I backed off (still in 3rd), he did more than one double take with me right behind him. Guess he thought he was just gonna walk away.

Speedo Healer and RSV
BuddyRich replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Your odo will be off now. The speedo on the rsv is wrong without the speedohealer but the odo is right. Once you correct the speed with the speedohealer the odo will be low if I remember right -
I believe there was a recall on the 07 for the head gasket problem. Other than that these bikes are great. The 5 year warranty covers bumper to bumper.

Last time my wife and daughters were pregnant the doctors wanted them walking. Just didn't want them doin jumping jacks ..
-
I would probably just state the the last time you walked by a magnet it took them 2 hours to pry it off your butt because of all the plates and screws in you. Some things will never heal correctly. So you see not all disabilities are clearly visible and your riding the bike, not pushing it.

Here's a pic of the gasket. I don't think its really needed since your using rubber washers on the inside to seal it. Maybe for where the wires come thru. But you could seal it with clear silicone then -
Trunk Spoiler installation

ECK, Huh ? I just read the whole thing. The spoiler only has 3 mounting holes. You must be thinking luggage rack. Don you should only have 3 screws, rubber washers and steel washers. Plus the long rubber gasket that goes on the bottom. Oh and a couple of weird plastic things to show you where to drill the 3 holes plus one for the wires. Rubber washers go against the trunk (inside) then the steel washers, then the screw. -
Red Cross or the Commander at the Base. State the reason .. I'm pretty sure the Red Cross will have to verify.
