I have used a long pair of needle nose pliers and turned the handlebars full left and right and removed it from the back side and replaced it. Takes a little practice but you don't need to split the fairing if you do it like that. -

You know those HD's are just a lot of noise....... :rotf: Couldn't help myself. Did he have the 6x9 speakers mounted to the front of the saddlebags ? -
Looking for somebody with a tire changer. Went to several places today and nobody wants to put a CT on a bike rim. Went by Harbor Freight and they want over 130 for the setup for a tire changer. Not sure I want to try to tackle a CT with just a couple of MC tire tools.

Go by Lowes and get the Alum polish they have there by the pickup tool boxes. You can clean all the clearcoat off and polish them up like chrome. You'll just need to re polish them every once in a while after that. I used a buffer wheel on a drill to speed it up. If they are under warranty still ,have them replaced

Earl, Take it easy and get well soon. I may need for you to get the speed square again.

I stand on the right side of the bike to steady it (she thinks),well I hold the handle bars so the don't swing.. Then she uses the handlebars as if she is getting on the front but sits on the back seat. Something like that, sometime she's holding onto the her backrest and the handlebars. If getting off is a problem have her try sliding down into your seat then get off.

My round trip to the nearest store is about 30 minutes on different types of road. Always put the helmet on. Tried riding a couple of times without it and like my brother use to say "he just ain't right" and that's pretty much how it felt. Gloves always also. Don't usually wear shorts but the couple of times I did and used the bike I decided the bike was just too hot for shorts and sandals. Try to use the bike for anything and everything as much as possible.

Running a 3 watt amber LED as a bright SEE ME on the fenders would not draw that much much current and the LED's can take the pounding the front wheel takes. That would allow you to still use your passing lamps at the standard wattage. The yellow moving up and down may also help as an eye catcher.

I followed Vic (Lone Eagle) for a couple of hour at the Susanville ride. Won't do that anymore. I think we started makin him ride in the back.... :rotf:They are loud.

I just saw that tire at Discount Tire. I may try it just to see what a CT is all about. My Avons have some serious cracks in them and I don't think I'll go back to Avons after this.
