Started riding again 2yrs ago at 53 after a heart attack (figured if i was going to die it was not going to be walking down the hall at 3 am ). Smoked 12 cigars aday , 50lbs over weight , and diabetic ( 3 strikes your out ) . Quit smoking the day of my heart attack , now manage my diabeties , lost 50lbs. Now get up 7 days aweek at 4:30 am and go 1 mile on treadmill . 6:pm another mile on treadmill (everyday) . Use bowflex 30 mi 3 days a week . Before heart attack could not walk 100 ft without hips and feet killing me . Would not have been able to manage such a heavy bike as the venture . Point being i think we all should be spending more time devoted to our own well being and not worrying how to change our bikes to fill our laxing life styles. ( ps dont mean to preach but i fell great , hips and feet don"t hurt and hope to be riding this bike another 15yrs )

A cyber attack by hackers has forced Canada's Finance and Treasury departments offline. According to CBC, unattributed sources in senior government circles are saying the attacks were traced to servers in China. The attack comes amid considerable international controversy about Chinese cyber-espionage and “Chinese government hackers”. Although CBC said it could not determine whether the attackers were Chinese or simply other nationals who used China-based servers, CTV television said they were "Chinese government hackers". It cited sources as saying the Canadian Security Intelligence Service has advised government officials not to name China as the origin of the attacks, or even discuss the matter. Chinese espionage has become a "major problem" for Canada and other countries, a senior government official told CTV. Current information is that the hackers were successful in attacking the computers of government officials. It’s not known whether the hackers were able to access public personal tax records or other sensitive personal data. Internet access to both government departments was shut down immediately the attack was detected. Official statements are that “no data was compromised” in relation to the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. CTV’s own reports are rather brief. Citing previous efforts by alleged Chinese hackers to break in to Indian government computers and steal Canadian passport applications, CTV states: It's unclear how many attempts have been made to break into the finance department's computer network. Analysis In practice, the information provided is all a bit too simple. The only working statement is the statement that the CBC, which is after all a news agency, not a counterintelligence unit, couldn’t determine the exact source of the attack. There’s a surprise. In view of the fact that any cyber attack can be launched from anywhere by a mildly enthusiastic high school kid, and is extremely unlikely to be located in the nation of origin for obvious reasons, the Yellow Peril rhetoric is more than likely a bit misplaced. China is quite capable of doing better than a clumsy attempted burglary of data which doesn’t necessarily have a lot of intrinsic espionage value, particularly on such a high profile scale. There are other reasons for not instantly assuming there are reds under the Canadian Feds, too. Organized crime in China isn’t entirely unknown, and it is perfectly likely that agencies carrying useful identity theft quality information would be targeted for people smuggling purposes. A criminal organization, or several, wouldn’t be too worried about embarrassing the Chinese government, in fact, may have decided the current cyber Cold War and endless media speculation on the subject was the perfect environment for doing just that. about 3 weeks ago i came down with terrible gout attack. this attack went from my right foot to both knees then both ankles. my sister came in one day to check in on me. and i was leaning slumped over my walker. she could not wake me. ambulance and emt arrived emt.s had a hard time waking me . ambulance attendent placed me on the gurney. while laying flat i came too.. so this is what they found. after 2 weeks in the hospitial. #1 gout caused an infection in my right kidney causeing it to shut down. had 3 pints of blood put into me. infection made me pee blood. #2 reduced my blood preasure meds because while sitting i would drop down to 85/60. and would pass out. standing would rush it back up to 190/120. again i would just pass out. now with adjustment in meds im at 135/90 not great but under controll and no passing out.#3 this all caused an attack to my leggs most likely MS flair up? i can no longer hold myself up. i have trouble walking. im useing a walker and takeing baby steps. pain shoots down both legs. so i will be seeing a pain management doctor. then some kind of doctor who will work on the back and do some kind of nerve block? then back injections. i cant drive my car as i cant feel the foot controlls. i have PT 2 times a day at home. and food brought in as i cant even stand up long enough to make something. i cant get into my shower. so its sit on a comode. inside a plastic tub. and do a wash down by the kitchen sink. the PT nurse will empty it when she comes. so that,s how im doing. weak a little scared. but determend to beat this attack back into admission.

As some of you may have read, I wrote a letter to my local paper about keeping an eye out for motorcycles, and included a snippet of one of the few biker 'poems' (hate to call it that) that are floating around the 'net... Surprisingly enough, they published it! NOW it's under attack by some lady named Angie in the comments section... So aggrivating! I just tried to go on the Venturers site and my McAfee software flagged it as a "Known Attack Site" and suggested blocking it...... So what's up with that???? Anyone know??

I learned late Friday night that James Bougher, one of my local riding buddies, fellow brother F.O.E. Eagle Rider Group Secretary/Treasurer, and friend passed away suddenly Thursday morning due to a Heart Attack. He is survived by his wife and two small children. Please keep his family in your prayers. His funeral will be held Monday and the Aerie 714 F.O.E. Riders Group will be escorting the funeral procession.

First off. I have Norton 360 Anti-Virus on my laptop. Yesterday I was on Google looking for an address when all of the sudden my anti virus popped up warning me I had a trojan attacking my computer. It was called Trojan.win.agent32.azsy. This screen looked so much like my Norton that without thinking I clicked on whatever button was prompting me to push. It all looked legit then I was prompted to purchase additional anti virus protection to rid my PC of this attack. It was then I realized something was going on. I was getting pop ups with all kinds of warnings but I ignored them and googled the trojan mentioned above. Turns out this is an on-going problem which can cause some major problems if you don't get rid of it. I was able to purchase on line Spyware Doctor which was reported the best way to fix the problem. It did work for me but I also read that it doesn't always work. So beware when you start getting these pop ups and make certain they are legit before pushing any buttons. BTW. Norton did not stop the attack. If you Google Personal Antivirus you'll see what the exact problem is.

ACTUALLY NOT ME BUT TATERS IS..HAD TO RUSH HER TO THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK.SEEMS TO EVERYONE ..EXCEPT HER...THAT SHE WAS HAVING A HEART ATTACK..LIGHT HEADED,GREY IN COLOR ,SQUEEZING IN CHEST,PAIN RADIATING UP ARM INTO JAW,AND LAST TO NOT LEAST SWEATING..BLOOD PRESSURE 202 OVER 134...BUT SHE JUST THOUGHT SHE WAS JUST HAVING A BAD DAY..COMMING DOWN WITH SOMETHING MAYBE...WOMEN.THEY ARE TUFF..ANYWAY SHE SPENT A FEW DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL...DIDNT HAVE A HEART ATTACK ..THIS TIME... BUT TESTS HAVE SHOWN THAT SHE HAS SCARRING ON HER HEART FROM A PREVIOUS HEART ATTACK... TATERS YOU SCARED THE --LL OUT OF ME...SHES HOME NOW, GOING BACK AND FORTH TO ALL THE DOCTORS VISITS....GET A CALL TWO DAYS AGO THAT SHE NOW HAS A NASTY KIDNEY INFECTION ON TOP OF WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON...GOT TO GET HER WELL....MISS MY NAVIGATOR....SHE BEEN BUGGING ME TO TAKE HER RIDING, BUT SHE IS STILL WEAK AND IM AFRAID SHE MIGHT FALL OFF.....AND IF THAT EVER HAPPENED THEN ID HAVE TO KILL HER FOR BEING SO STUBBORN...WHAT AM I SAYING..ANY WAY WERE HOLDING OUR OWN NOW AND HOPING TO HAVE MY TATERS BACK RIDING WITH ME TO SEE THOSE FALL COLORS......PS..THANKS TO BONGO BOBBY FOR GIVING ME A HAND WITH MY BRAKES ON MY BIKE..I CAN ACTUALLY STOP NOW WITHOUT PRAYING...THANKS BOB:thumbsup:

the birthday girl, had a great morning! then , at noon, the Dr. came in and told her she can't go home today, as was planned. seems she has developed a "severe", U.T.I. sooo, back on the I.V.s for a week or so, to combat the infection. the day wears on, and about 3:00 p.m., she has another mild heart attack. i am sure it was all stress related, but, an attack ,just the same. i can see the writing on the wall. this is gonna be A ROLLER COASTER RIDE. just jt

We lost a good friend sat. morning of a heart attack only 51 .he called and needed some help getting hay so I went along to help .on the way home he had a heart attack while driving .things got a little scarred with him driving I got the rig stopped and got him out and and called 911 started CPR I know he was dead but keep going till the rescue got to us and took over .dont know how long it took them to get to us maybe 15min. but it was a long 15 didnt think any help was coming . and he just got a frist gin 86 back in Nov.
