Been a diabetic for years and didn't take care of it , wound up in the hospital with a heart attack at 53 . Diabetes leads to a number of things , eye sight , kidney problems , heart problems , and the worst numbness in your feet . I take insulin 4 times a day , brought my a1c from 14 down to 5.9 . Exercise on a tread mill and lift weights 1 hr a day, 7 days a week . Theirs a pasta out there called Dream fields that limits amount of carbs that stay in your system and it really works . And it's good tasteing . make sure you eat smaller meals and healthy snack in between . Living is a lot better than dying so be sure to take care of yourself . If you or any other member want to talk about this let me know .
