  1. Ya but all seasoning ain't hot!
  2. Looking at the pictures I can almost see your concern, but I really don't have a comment as to how it should be done or how it works.
  3. How many times do I have to jump off the roof to be worth that much??
  4. Ya that's ok, you did well and you have to have something to do!
  5. Caution: if you put in too much air, you will blow the seals,, not the end of the world, but it will most likely take some oil out with it and make a bit of a mess. If you put more than the recommended amount of oil in it, the forks may come to an abrupt halt on the way down and cause some damage in the process. In my opinion, you only need so much oil to do the damping job, any more will cause problems but not have any effect on the ride itself.
  6. When you go to install the stator cover be sure you have the shifter linkage in the proper position. It's the knuckle behind the cover with the shaft going through the cover that is the issue here. It likes to fall to the bottom, but it needs to be at the top of the shaft. It will install when at the bottom, but it will take more persuasion to get the cover to seat, and you will have to take it off again to do it right. More than one person has noticed that it doesn't work so well when not installed properly.
  7. Can't help ya none, just looked and mine is an 83
  8. I would replace the fuel filter, they can at times plug up, but then let gas through like no tomorrow, when all of a sudden it's blocked again.
  9. Just don't go floating away on all that moisture,, we would miss you guys too much,, even Quick Step, after posting just once. God Bless.
  10. Just got got see this. Get well soon Bobbie,, or I'll have to come there to visit,, and you know well that could go over,,, everybody else would be jealous. Praying for your health bro. that He might shine on you and Becky.
  11. Is that what the Squid did to make himself look more mature?
  12. I have some here, but it's about 1.5", hard to measure, but not big enough for you. It shrinks 40% and we use it to rubberize wooden broom handles so that a corn broom with a wooden handle will pass meat inspection. It does a very nice job, so nice in fact that the inspectors wondered where we got those handles,,,, go figure.
  13. You sure you're not color blind????
  14. Now that begs the question on what constitutes being old,,,, is the wrinkles in the skin, or the hair on top of the head, or is it the limp one walks with, or the speed of his gait? Maybe it has to do with how quick he can get up or down or how well he can see and hear. Anyways Squid, I'm with you, when I get gray hair I'll consider whether I'm old or not,,, and I'll not listen to Gary until then, even though he might say something about loosing it as well. And the $20 is now on it's way.
  15. Never mind y'all, I just remembered that I had thought that I might forget who gave it me, so,,, just to be on the safe side I had written his name on the bill,,,, smart of me EH?,,,,I mean the remembering part,,,,,, and the real person IS ?????????????? ok, so how come you guys are so smart and know it already,,, this will be the last time I put up a contest,,,,,, MERCY!!!!!! and I was just getting to the punch line,,,,,,,,, actually, Chabicheka gave it to me!!!!
  16. Yes, but did he say he was buying one? No, he just said something about looking, and he didn't say anything about selling.
  17. Good to hear,, hope it all works out well for Ya. Now you guys can go back to the other track you were on!
  18. Loosen both ends of the old fuel line, the one end at the carbs, the other at the fuel pump. You need to obtain a new piece of fuel line to replace the old red one that's there now. Never mind, I'll call ya
  19. Somewhat, but I wanted to be sure, it could have been Trader, but then he refused to come to our VentureIn, it might have been Saddlebum, but he's Dutch, so too cheap to give me $20.00 and it had to be somebody who thought he could trust me,,, well, not my fault, you didn't even remember, so it must have been Sumtimers!! Anyways, who's coming out for ICE_CREAM?????
  20. Just fund $20 stuck in my pocket,,,, was supposed to give it to Don for membership on the Venture Site,,, now I just need to be reminded who gave it to me, so that I can forward it the proper party!
  21. Wow,, what seeds did you use to get them to grow in your garden???
  22. Marcarl

    How Fast?

Guess it depends on how soon you need to get there, and where you want to get to. If everything goes right and all the ice cream is gone when you get there, you might have gone a little faster, but if something doesn't go so right and you end up in the lateral position for a time, then maybe a little slower might have worked out better for ya, even though you might have missed out on the ice cream.
  23. I would drain most of the gas out of the tank, then spray in a whole can of CTC carb cleaner, then let it run for about an hour,,, think it will solve your problems if it's dirt. You'll not likely be getting dirt out of the tank, that's why there is a fuel filter in line, but it wouldn't hurt to replace that as well. Most likely you're getting dirt out of the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carbs, not a hard one to replace. Just loosen both ends, put a bolt into the end by the carbs, screw the new piece onto the bolt and pull it through, about a 15 minute job all told.
  24. Also check the battery terminals that they are tight to the wires.
  25. Marca went out and spent money this spring on some hardware. A few weeks later we had the outcome and me feeling kind of stiff. But now it's growing and producing, won't be enough to fill a freezer, but we'll eat good this summer,, I hope.
