  1. On May 9 a group of Pekin, IL , bikers were riding west on I-74 when they saw a girl about to jump off a Peoria bridge, so they stopped. The bikers leader, George a big burly man of 53, gets off his bike, walks through the gawkers, past the State Trooper, and says, "What are you doing?" "I'm going to commit suicide," she says. While he didn't want to appear "sensitive," he didn't want to miss a be-a-legend opportunity either so he asked ... "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a kiss?" So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that ... and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another one. After she's finished, George gets approval from his group, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, then says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had, Honey! That's a real talent you are wasting, Sugar Shorts. You could be famous if you rode with me. Why are you committing suicide?" "My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl". The onlookers are still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed!
  2. But Still FUNNY!!! Wonder if it was our resident "West by God" State Trooper???:rotf: A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. "Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more. Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mp...h, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival. Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go." The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a State trooper. I thought you were bringing her back." "Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper.
  3. A Texas State Trooper was patrolling late at night off the main highway. He sees a couple in a car, with the interior light brightly glowing. He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then he sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine. He also immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails. Puzzled by this surprising situation, he walks to the car and gently raps on the driver's side window. The young man lowers his window and mutters, "Uh, yes, Officer"? The trooper asks: 'What are you doing'? The young man says: 'Well, Sir, I'm reading a magazine'. Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat, the trooper says: 'And her in the back, what is she doing'? The young man shrugs: 'Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails'. Now the trooper is totally confused. A young couple, alone in a car at night, in a lover's lane ... and nothing obscene is happening! The trooper asks: 'What's your age, young man'? The young man says: 'I'm 22, sir'. The trooper asks: 'And her ... what's her age'? The young man looks at his watch and replies: 'She'll be 18 in 11 minutes...
  4. Made it home from the hospital last night (wife is typing for me). Still in a considerable amount of pain, but up and about on my feet. I have already started the process of looking for a new bike (with airbags!!, wife added that part) What can I say? I am a trooper! Just remember, to ALWAYS wear your helmet, and remind your friends to do the same. Here are a couple of shots of the bike. http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs494.snc3/26972_1362195648803_1048940196_31078560_6669339_n.jpg http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs514.snc3/26972_1362195688804_1048940196_31078561_5535339_n.jpg http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs494.ash1/26972_1362196048813_1048940196_31078568_5826999_n.jpg Ben
  5. In yesterday's Dahlonega, GA newspaper, The Nugget. "Trooper not indicted in biker's death". A local motorcyclist was recently killed as he returned from a friend's funeral by a GA State Patrol car making a U-turn on Hwy 129 to go after a speeder. The DA said "He was doing his job, he turned on his lights, he made the Uturn, he didn't see the individual".
  6. Hey everyone, i am looking at some job/college opportunities and am wondering if anyone in the forum is a state patrolman for Arizona. I plan on going to ITT Tech in Tucson Arizona, and then pass my tests and become a state trooper. Thanks- CJ:bobby:
  7. Ok so Sunday the nice state trooper in Wisconsin decided he would give me a ticket (not to the policeman’s ball either. 68MPH in a 55MPH zone, which is a $160.00 invitation to court or just pay it and suffer the consequences with the insurance company. Before you ask I have no idea how fast I was going all I know is that I was going up a hill in the passing lane and the trooper was at the top of the hill with his laser radar on. The rest of the story is history as they say Please resist the funny comments I told them all to myself. I don’t know if I should fight it or just pony up the $160.00 and call it a day. My gut tells me to at least go to court and try to fight it. Anybody know any thing about laser radar? Accuracy? Problems with their use? Interference? Any LEOs out there that have any words of advice? Other than cough it up and get over it? If I don’t show up they find me guilty if the trooper doesn’t show, what happens then. Will they dismiss it? Not to happy with myself…. I haven’t had a ticket in over 40 years. Advice Please

  9. A frined of mine who is a VA State Trooper was involved in a crash today while on duty. He was attempting to pull over a truck that was traveling 85 in a 55 zone, when the truck driver slammed on the brakes. He locked up his brakes and hit the rear of the truck at 60mph. He was pinned beteween his bike and the guardrail. He was taken to the local hospital and is very lucky to be alive. Actually, he made out well considering the severity of the accident. He has a bruised femur and pelvis. He has a broken jaw and some cuts and bruising on the face, but is expected to be released form the hospital late tonight or in the morning. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
  10. I'd like to pay tribute to Calvin Jenks. Mr. Jenks was the Tennessee State Trooper who was shot to death last weekend by suspects allegedly running drugs in Tipton County. By all accounts, Calvin Jenks was exactly the kind of person we would want to go to into law enforcement. His colleagues say that he was inspired by his grandfather who was also a state trooper and they say Calvin Jenks loved what he was doing. The Christmas pictures of Mr. Jenks and his new wife, Sarah Beth, are heartbreaking. We can only imagine the wonderful times that were ahead for them. The minister who presided at his funeral said that if any good can come out of this tragedy, it's to remind us to thank the men and women who work hard and pay the price so that we can go about our daily lives. So yes, thank you to all of them and especially to the family of Calvin Jenks.
