  1. We have to leave on Sunday, boss says I have chores to attend to.
  2. What happens if you force the throttle back with the grip. Maybe you need to clean the linkage a bit. Is there a choke valve hanging up. Are all your sliders working? One could have come apart. Try CTC carb cleaner in the tank with less than 2 bars showing. Use the spray stuff, and spray in the whole can into the gas tank. Then take it for a short ride to get the mixture into and through the bowls. Then let it idle for about 15 minutes. Shut it off for about 30 minutes, and let it idle again for about 15 minutes. Do this about 3 or four times to get fresh cleaner into the necessary areas. Process could take up to or over 8 hrs. Then take it out for a ride to clean out the rest of the mixture and fill up with fresh gas. You can also use CRC brand cleaner, it works really good as well. Both clean much better than seafoam.
  3. Just checked out the one I have,,, it don't work either, the speedo works, but the odometer doesn't move at all, so I guess I'm no help to you.
  4. Like I said, Sparkie called in sick. On the way up Wayne bike lost it's charging capabilities. So he arranged for his daughter and her boy friend to bring up a spare R\R which we thought was the problem. Turned out to be the stator instead so we couldn't fix it there. Next he got a trailer from his father-in-law and so towed it home. It made it safe and sound and all the while the 'riders' were keeping cool in air-conditioning. For Marca and I, it was a different story, we had to brave the elements and take the long way home, all through those twists and turns, over the hills and through the valleys, dealing with the effects of sunshine and wind, dodging Harleys and Hondas, passing up ice-cream stops, skirting cities, and all the time having no tail-lights, it was quite daunting and a real challenge, but we made it.

Very Nice,,, but what happened to all the boxes??? And don't forget to move the sprinkler,,,, oh ya, Brooke knows how to that,, right Brooke?
  6. Your just in luck, I have one but need to check if it still works and to see what shape it's in. Will let you know tomorrow when I have a chance to check it out.
  7. I'd say bad gas. If it runs with the choke it would be using more gas, not less, so that kind of rules out the fuel pump as being the culprit.
  8. Just make sure that everything is clean, dry and ruffed up. Paint does not bond, and you have paint on both surfaces. Use thin layers and cover the area well. You should be good to go.
  9. I'm with Muffinman on the fuse holder, change it out before anything else, saves a lot of time for the future, it will also cause the wire to get hot and melt if it's intermittent. Secondly, yes, when depressing the starter switch the lights are shut off, so if it doesn't return all the way, or the switch is dirty (often the case) then cleaning it will get 2 birds with 1 stone.
  10. Ahhh come on guys, lets help this guy out with his crabs,,, put the underwear in a different discussion,, after all, we do want his 12 buck EH!!
  11. We rode all day,, but didn't see you,,, where were you?
  12. Augh well,, doesn't look so bad,,give Bondo a call, could be worth their while for a good advertizment. Glad to hear that everybody is OK. It was a pretty big storm with lots of damage.
  13. Sparkie called in sick!
  14. Neither did I know that, I just cut and pasted from some web site. I never heard about a Long tractor, but now I did. And as far as sneaking up on you,, that was the intention, now you went and spoiled all my fun. I'll have to come up with something new.....
  15. Long Manufacturing built its first tractor in 1948. The company, however, soon stopped building their own and began importing tractors from Uzina Tractorul Brasov (UTB) and some Landinis. Long filed for bankruptcy in 1985, but returned by 1987 after a reorganization. In 1998, Long Agribusiness was purchased by the Escort Group of India. The Long name was dropped in favor of the Farmtrac brand. Farmtrac North America stopped business in late 2008.
  16. Best thought I have for you is to take the old one out and bring it to a local bearing dealer or bolt and nut supply,, maybe Fastenal or such. You should be able to get something close. Outer dimension is important, that should be very close if not exact. The length you can adjust with a file and the bore can be increased with the proper size drill bit.
  17. I'd say she's a KEEPER!
