That's was started to sound like an offer and honor story, glad you managed to get out of the bar before you drank that round of beer and then found out that the scoot was out of gas.

You guys realize I can read all your comments,,right? Are you trying to make me feel better???? Well so far it's not working, maybe you should take on a new approach,,, and Ben, you're not helping much either. I think I'm going for a ride,,,, maybe

Now how would you know about that,,,, did your mommy have you wear that? I never owned a tricycle, best I had was a 4 wheeled wagon,,, guess 3 wheels weren't enough even then.

Glad you could post about it David, and help edumacate us in the process.

Thanks guys,,, got it all together now,,,, ya right,,,, but we're on the mend and will be looking good shortly. Ya Phil, the bike laid down because I did things out of sync and so the kickstand didn't get set all the way forward and then when I set it on the kickstand, she rolled forward and over. Didn't have any tail lights after that, so had to go tail-less for the rest of the evening,, and don't the rest of you guys get any funny ideas. Went to work on it today and found that I had running lights up front but not at the back,,, hey what's up, how can that be,,, both off the same fuse, fuse is good, but no back lights. Off come the seat, bags, trunk, false cover, headlight cover, headlight, windshield and ah well might as well take the dash board out as well. Then to trace some wires, dig out a schematic, get confused,, so I read my book for while. Phone rang so I went back to digging. Smelled the CPU and it smelled like PU, took it apart and found a fried connection, yep fried the solder right away,,, easy fix, I had some solder, globbed it up good, so now that works again,,, I was almost envisioning a trip to the US with an outdated passport but no need I think. Then I discovered a pinched wire in my chrome bumper that explained all the current draw that fried the CPU, and also found a 20amp fuse trying to do the job of a 5 amper,, no wonder it didn't blow,,, got a nail in there now so that should work,,,,,, NOT! Should all be back together tomorrow for a test ride. Let's see, we need some u-turns, barn yards, gravel, scenic routes,,,,, did I miss anything?

Won't be long and you'll be going back to work,, just so you can get things done around the place and have some time for riding. Try to enjoy at least one day each week.

Don't ask,, I just donated another five bucks,,, really wasn't my fault,,, had nothing to do with it,,,, I mean,, all I did was get off the bike at the gas pumps,,, foolishness, who ever thought of putting something on two wheels,,,and then nothing to keep it from tipping over,,,, something automatic I mean,,, should be a good place for an inventor to come up with a new idea,,,,and now it seems I started a new trend,, I hope not, but two rides and two lay-downs doesn't spell good for the near future,,,,,,,,, next ride I'm going to get bubble wrap,, and some foam,,, and spring loaded thingies. No damage this time, not even my pride,,,, it went before the fall,,,, heck it happens, just glad it was me and not somebody who would get all upset about these things. Good thing, this time Marca was already out of harms way, but the kick stand was not exactly where it was supposed to be so flipped back up,,, what it supposed to do,,, and I just let it go,,, what I was supposed to do,,,,, training paid off!!,,, just a little more smoke out of the wires, nothing too serious,, anybody need some lights???

Congrats you two, and may you be blessed with many more happy terms together.:happy65:

Nah, that a women's ride since Eileen drove it. I would need a black one anyways, or a red one,,, grey is just nondescript.
-
Nope, didn't buy any lights from you that I can remember,,,, brackets, yes, but no lights.
-
She regal enough, doesn't want a trike. Oh you don't know what you're suggesting, don't even go there!!!
-
What???????? you haven't sold it yet,,,, you're asking too much I bet.

You should have seen what Squidley put on his scoot one time,,, he liked them, and nobody else decided that they needed to comment,,, or dared to comment. Your's look good, no question about that, you can keep them on!

How did I know that was coming:whistling:

Marca says she's still too young to put out to pasture, so she's riding again tomorrow. So now I'm being limited,, no more u-turns, no more scenic routes, no more gravel roads, no more farmers' barn yards and now no more going out to pasture,,,,,, what's this riding thing coming to:think:

It does happen, well it seems to anyways,,, and it's not the first time she went and did this,,,can't blame me really, I mean I was trying everything and I really wasn't looking forward to do any straining or hard work. Ya I know, I should have been more cautious out there in the farmers' field doing a slow turn, but crap happens and it happened again yesterday. And then the smoke started coming out of the wires,,, oh no, that means I might have to walk home,,, not a good thing either,,, but hey, all is well that ends well,,, right???? Now the story. Went for a nice ride yesterday to Wainfleet ONT to enjoy the times of yesteryear. Lots to see and do. Followed our fearless leader over hill and vale, around curves and corners, dodged pot holes and road kill and finally ended up at our destination, but alas there was limited parking for kickstand bikes, but if we did a u-turn in a field we could park on some gravel... good thought,,,,, until,,,,,,,,,,,,, well that's where it happened, doing a slow turn, unable to give much throttle, through pasture, the front wheel decided to head further left than it was designed and Scamper did a slow roll over. All seemed to be ok, except for Marca who decided not to stay put,(can't say as I blame her) and put her foot out and promptly fell over and hurt her shoulder, (it's ok now). She says she knows better, we have been down before and she stayed put with absolutely no damage at all,,, interesting to see that,,,, bike on it's side and Marca sitting there yet like it's going somewhere, but not this time. Got help from Wayne and Steve to set Scamper back up and view any damage. Not much really, a broken air wing, a mirror facing the wrong way, hiway peg not in the right spot and just a little smoke coming out of a wire,,, life was good, could have been serious. Turns out, the smoke was coming out of the running light wire, right where it attached to the fuse block,,,was a loose connection, but rode home with the 4 ways on until I could get it fixed,,,, ready to ride again,,,, 10 am Monday. Freebird will want to keep me as a member,,, I pay well.

Always use new seals!!!!!!

You need to pull the wheel, then drive the bearings out from the opposite side. The spacer in between the bearings moves over to allow you to set a driver tool on the bearing inner race. Not all that bad of a job. Bearings are available from your local bearing dealer and at a lot better price.

Depends on the grease you used for the splines. If you didn't use good stuff, they could be dry by now, for the time it takes, take a look.

Next I see a bigger garage, best get started on the footing and foundation soon, I hear it takes about a year to get that done,, after that though, it's a piece of cake, unless you decide to go sliding.

My 85 could use some engine cover inserts,,, I'm just saying, and wishin
