  1. I think the Mods should do something here,,, this just ain't right!!!!!!
  2. So does that mean I have to buy a Vic now, just to keep in contact with you?
  3. You could have told him that it's now only good for 6 months and then added the leftovers to my all new bike fund.
  4. happy Birthday Old boy, glad that you're able to celebrate another, and hope that you might be able to enjoy many more.
  5. Sure hope you had a good one,,,, at least that's one less you have to worry about. Did I just say that?
  6. You could have taken Becky out for supper!
  7. Would be interested in the pictures, but I bought this scoot to resell, so have to price everything out first. It's going to need some serious cleaning, maybe brakes and clutch and some front end work. I don't mind sticking some money in it, but I don't want to go over board, so although engine guards are important, they might be last on the list. cnorg@silomail.com
  8. PO bought it in 2005 with 79k on it.
  9. Being that it's a trike, you need to drain the oil, I would also suggest to change the friction plates, not a hard job, seeing as it needs to push a trike around. Then you'll be set to go for quite some time and have no worries.
  10. If it's stored in a heated area, no fogging needed, if it freezes in the storage area I would do a lot of things: fog the engine, exhaust, stay the gas, unhook the battery, put steel wool in the exhaust pipes (to keep mice out) put smelly dryer sheets in the air intake, under the seat and in the faring(also for mice) spray all the back sides of anything chrome with chain wax, and you might as well take the load off the tires as well as well as take half the air pressure out of them.
  11. To me that is all just tinkering,,, course I don't do any of those things because I'm not ready to give up riding just yet, and when I do decide to give it up for the season, the next season is almost here and I'd have to fire it up just to make sure it's ready!
  12. Mac-Tac at it's finest,,,,,, are you trying to get away from the Tupperware identity?
  13. The paint on this one is pretty,,,, it's got 85k km on it and no CD player,, not even a radio or an antenna. Should be a lot quieter as well with no intercom.
  14. I'm not sure if I have all the info right here, but I am assuming that the ront brakes both should be working from the handle. If that is the case and you have fluid coming from the line but not from the bleeder, I would pull the bleeder right out to see if you then can send fluid through the caliper, if so, you have a plugged bleeder.
  15. Awh,,, come on,, you guys are taking all the fun out it. What I will need is a set of crash bars for an 86, the ones on this one look a little used, maybe a little over used. Plastic looks good, real good, it runs on most of the 4 cylinders it came with, back brake won't wear out in it's present condition, won't need to do oil changes seeing as the valve covers are leaking enough to keep the oil fresh,(also helps to keep the bugs away) probably will need to test out my new diaphragms, front end will need to come apart, swing arm will need attention so might as well look at the rear wheel as well. Won't have any problems with the Class, CB, or intercom seeing as I can't find them anywhere. I already practiced a u-turn and it works just fine, now to see if my neighbour will let me drive across his lawn just to see if it will do cow pastures.
  16. Ouch,,,,, now that it happened, do you feel better,, like more with the in-group?
  17. Well it runs, and drives but leaves a trail. Some cylinders not working so good, floats valves stuck in the open position, gas is about 2 years old, but she looks good.
  18. 1st gen,,,, nice looking 86 with absolutely no bling, don't even know if it runs yet. Guess I have something to do this winter, unless somebody wants it more than me.
  19. I'd come, but you didn't say anything about nap time, so I won't be allowed to go.
  20. Glad to hear that you had another birthday,, it was just about time don't you think,,,,,pretty soon they'll call you an old fart, and that ain't so bad in the long run,,, but then who would like a long runnin' fart? Just wait til next year, we'll surprise you with another birthday!!!:happy65:
  21. It's either gonna take some Plastex, or Seafoam, or maybe both.
  22. Bull**** baffles brains,,,, just don't let them even think that you have either!
  23. Glad you had company, and that you're home and moving around. Wish you the best with the boredom thing and all, going to be a bit of a time. God Bless. Maybe ask Bob for his trike, after all, he's not riding it!
  24. You need to check the voltage of the battery when it won't crank. That will tell a lot. I suspect a loose wire at the battery terminal. Could be a loose terminal or the wire might be loose where it bonds with the terminal.
  25. I was driving behind one of those BIG Jags today,,,, it looked like an old guy's car, and sure enough, it was an old guy driving it,,,,,, but it had me thinking: wonder when I'll be old enough to drive one of them there awesome machines.
