  1. There's a line going from the petcock to the fuel filter. It runs under a seam in the tank. The seam has a protector on that spot where the line goes under it, so that the line isn't cut by the seam and the swing arm. If you lost the protector, then you may have a little bitty hole in it there. You should see wet if that is the case.
  2. Try Dalton Timmes, or the insurance broker you have for your house or car. I found a much better deal with my broker for my car, but it will depend on whether they handle MC insurance. I didn't think mine did until I asked again, and sure enough, they had just changed their minds and were now dealing with it. Dalton Timmes uses Kingsway, as do some others. Get some quotes even if they all use Kingsway. One year I found a $300 difference from 2 brokers both using Kingsway.
  3. If you just hit the light with a hammer it will go out, don't think it will help any with the starting\running thing, but it will make the light go out. As an added bonus you might find that you have 'fixed' some other things in the process.
  4. So just exactly where is it that you need support? and why is it that you need a whole crew for this job?
  5. So much for trunk space. One thing to keep in mind, if you really need a horn and use it, do you want somebody looking for a train, semi, or a motorcycle. It's just that sometimes you may want the other person to react, but they WILL need to know what to react to, and it might take them a while to identify the issue if they are looking for the wrong thing.
  6. Just glad my passport expired, now I got a reason not to go over there!
  7. Check all the panels, inside and out. They should all be tight to the underlay. If there is looseness, that shows signs of leaking. Don't forget the ceiling, especially around any vents and other protrusions through the roof.
  8. Glad to hear you is Ok. Could have been a lot worse. As mentioned, I stay as far away from those guys as I can, you just never know when one will fly off.
  9. Cut off switch??????????
  10. Rent a newer one for a week, then decide.
  11. Mostly the wasps will be dead from the sudden impact when they hit the curve in shop vac. A couple of inches of water is a good idea as well, just to be sure.
  12. Lesson learned: DON'T LET YOUR WIFE DRIVE!!!!
  13. Wasn't it the Coffinman that had that one?

Wishing you the best James, and asking for guidance and a speedy healing process.
  15. Just in my mind,,, just in my mind mind you, riding a road such as you describe at 70mph maybe asking for trouble to start with, but then that is just in my mind,,,, after all, what's the hurry, you are on a scoot aren't you, enjoy the time and be safe, take some time to get there. As far as the turtle is concerned, the best approach would be to crank on the throttle so to get the front wheel up and over the poor thing, thing is, at 70mph you don't have a lot of torque left to get the job done and so the cranking on the throttle may not be as effective as it might be at 50 mph. Still a scary thing, no matter how you approach it.
  16. Yammer Dan is still working on his garage, and still doesn't know anything about picture taking.
  17. Try using your shop vac to suck them in during the day. Just put the hose where they normally come in, turn on the vac and go to work.
  18. I thought there was something wrong with your hearing,,, is it all better now? Wish you the best bud.
  19. You could email the pictures to the Mods to see if they approve:think:
  20. That's just because we have some really great women on board that keep us in line and us watching our back.
  21. So when is the party?? Enjoy not being needed Bob, it takes a while getting used to it. At first there are lots of things to do, but after a while the truth settles in,,, the hare is changing color. Don't worry about the rest of us working stiffs, we'll make out all right just fine:think:,,,,, oh wait, what was I talking about,,,,, oh ya, when's the party???????:happy65:
  22. Just seen this, kind of a shocker, but then of us has their trials, only to draw us closer to the One who cares. We will ask that He will look after the two of you and provide all that is necessary. May Vicky get well soon, and may He provide you all with peace and healing.
  23. If he had any smarts at all he would pick a different subject for the rest of the day.
  24. It's the acid rain I tell, shouldn't have left that baby laying there for so long. Get some baking soda, make a good slurry and throw it over the tire, wait til it quits foaming and then add the duct tape to cover up the mess. To re inflate, put propane torch into the tire and let it blow in there for about 5 minutes or so, no fire, stand back a little, then light it up and watch how cleanly a job is done.
