  1. Sent to me by Run-n-bare Big Biker Chili A duded-up city rider walks into a seedy tavern in Sturgis , SD. He sits at the bar and notices a grizzled old biker with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of chili. After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the newby rider bravely asks the old biker, 'If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?' The old veteran of a thousand rides slowly turns his head toward the young pup and says, 'Nah, you go ahead.' Eagerly, the guy wearing the shiny new leather fashions reaches over and slides the bowl into his place and starts spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom of the bowl and notices a dead mouse in the chili. The sight was very shocking and he immediately barfed up the chili back into the bowl. The old biker quietly says, 'Yep, that's ‘bout as far as I got, too.
  2. Only if it has patches:happy65:
  3. No way Thomas,,,, having nice weather in the middle of the week suits just fine,, otherwise it would get in the way of nap time!
  4. So where did you find that??? At Walmart? Does it have a trap door at the back for a scoot and shop? Which door is the beer in? How many beds? Does it have enough room for Becky to hide?,,,from you of course,,,,Are you allowed to cook inside? How fast does it go,,can a 2nd gen keep up??? Does it come with a Wing?
  5. Not a real problem here,,, hey that is my present wife's wedding anniversary, it was her first marriage and I hadn't been hitched before, so we had to celebrate. It was year 38 to be exact.
  6. Make sure that the rings are put in the way, you can tell by the grooves. Then press them together and they should stay put. Make sure that they slide into the carbs nice and easy, if they bind, then they most likely are split and need to be replaced, it should be a perfect fit. If they still come apart, then you can use a bit of Seal All, found at Home Hardware, or CTC. Gas doesn't bother Seal ALL and it takes only about 30 sec to set up. While you have it apart, it's a good time to blow all the ports out with a carb cleaner,,, CRC works good, get the ports from the top while you are at it was well. Then when you have it all back together let the gas tank run down and add a can of carb cleaner to the tank. Use the spray stuff, it works better. Once you have the cleaner in the tank, let it run for 30 minutes or so at idle, running the choke on once in a while, then take it out for a ride and run the rpm up to 6000 for a few minutes, you can do that while keeping it in 2nd, you don't have to go 160kph. After that refill the tank, and tell me it don't run right.
  7. Yep, let us know on the diaphragms, and if the sliders move. If they are working then there are more options without taking those carbs apart, but if it needs doing, we'll get 'er done.
  8. The pads will do that. It's them being square cut and then vibrating. To solve that issue one needs to file a slight angle on the leading edge of the pad.
  9. I think the Mods should do something here,,, this just ain't right!!!!!!
  10. So does that mean I have to buy a Vic now, just to keep in contact with you?
  11. You could have told him that it's now only good for 6 months and then added the leftovers to my all new bike fund.
  12. happy Birthday Old boy, glad that you're able to celebrate another, and hope that you might be able to enjoy many more.
  13. Sure hope you had a good one,,,, at least that's one less you have to worry about. Did I just say that?
  14. You could have taken Becky out for supper!
  15. Would be interested in the pictures, but I bought this scoot to resell, so have to price everything out first. It's going to need some serious cleaning, maybe brakes and clutch and some front end work. I don't mind sticking some money in it, but I don't want to go over board, so although engine guards are important, they might be last on the list. cnorg@silomail.com
  16. PO bought it in 2005 with 79k on it.
  17. Being that it's a trike, you need to drain the oil, I would also suggest to change the friction plates, not a hard job, seeing as it needs to push a trike around. Then you'll be set to go for quite some time and have no worries.
  18. If it's stored in a heated area, no fogging needed, if it freezes in the storage area I would do a lot of things: fog the engine, exhaust, stay the gas, unhook the battery, put steel wool in the exhaust pipes (to keep mice out) put smelly dryer sheets in the air intake, under the seat and in the faring(also for mice) spray all the back sides of anything chrome with chain wax, and you might as well take the load off the tires as well as well as take half the air pressure out of them.
  19. To me that is all just tinkering,,, course I don't do any of those things because I'm not ready to give up riding just yet, and when I do decide to give it up for the season, the next season is almost here and I'd have to fire it up just to make sure it's ready!
  20. Mac-Tac at it's finest,,,,,, are you trying to get away from the Tupperware identity?
  21. The paint on this one is pretty,,,, it's got 85k km on it and no CD player,, not even a radio or an antenna. Should be a lot quieter as well with no intercom.
  22. I'm not sure if I have all the info right here, but I am assuming that the ront brakes both should be working from the handle. If that is the case and you have fluid coming from the line but not from the bleeder, I would pull the bleeder right out to see if you then can send fluid through the caliper, if so, you have a plugged bleeder.
  23. Awh,,, come on,, you guys are taking all the fun out it. What I will need is a set of crash bars for an 86, the ones on this one look a little used, maybe a little over used. Plastic looks good, real good, it runs on most of the 4 cylinders it came with, back brake won't wear out in it's present condition, won't need to do oil changes seeing as the valve covers are leaking enough to keep the oil fresh,(also helps to keep the bugs away) probably will need to test out my new diaphragms, front end will need to come apart, swing arm will need attention so might as well look at the rear wheel as well. Won't have any problems with the Class, CB, or intercom seeing as I can't find them anywhere. I already practiced a u-turn and it works just fine, now to see if my neighbour will let me drive across his lawn just to see if it will do cow pastures.
  24. Ouch,,,,, now that it happened, do you feel better,, like more with the in-group?
  25. Well it runs, and drives but leaves a trail. Some cylinders not working so good, floats valves stuck in the open position, gas is about 2 years old, but she looks good.
