The only thing I can think of that I have not added back to the forum is the countdown page. It was the page that counted down the days until various rallies and etc. I think that those events get enough attention here and on the calendar that the countdown page was pretty much just a novelty. What are your opinions? Is it something that any of you really miss?

OK folks, I have started rebuilding our 2013 VentureRider Rally countdown page. I've added the information that I have at this time. Please take a look and post any additional information that you might have. There are at least a couple that I'm not sure will be repeating and if they are, what the dates might be. http://www.venturerider.org/rally/

This will be the "final" official countdown thread. I have asked the moderator's to "close off" the other 3 or 4 threads regarding the Cody Trailer Grand Prize Raffle for 2011. Those threads will not be deleted - just closed to additional input - so everyone is on the same page. Thanks, everyone, and good luck. As of 5/31/11 - 9AM PST, there are now 33 tickets left.

Do yourself a favor... If you have 2 bars showing, your in the fuel countdown mode, and, your approaching a steep hill with cagers on your six... switch to reserve immediately... I found this out on my way to MD today... luckily the cagers weren't riding my six... took a half a mile going up hill for the reserve to kick in... food for thought... On the flat you can run without flipping to reserve well below one bar...

Ha Ha Ha (accompanied by lightning and thunder) *These figures were obtained thru the latest post in each of those related threads and the originator of this post makes no claims on the accuracy of the said figures

well, took a week and 2 days vacation, bought a tent and sleeping bag today, going to change oil in the v-star, got my satilite radio intune and working great,got rain gear, and my wife says i'm one brick short of a load, and don't let the door hit you in the ass. so i guess i'm all set for the final countdown. now i have to figure out where to put all this crap on the bike. i'm going to look like the beverly hillbillies when i pull in on friday, so don't laugh. hope this is'nt a dry county. no room for the cooler and beer. bill :clap2:
