does any one know where to get the. exhaust box on the bottom of the 83 model. was going to farmerize but pipe broke in half. right before my eyes. that was where that smoke in the sky came from.lol cant afford fancy stuff just want to ride this parts bike.

Been out about 1-1/2 hr, not a cloud in the sky, 800# goes straight busy, and web site will not open.

Just returned from a great ride up to Whistler. The Sea to Sky Highway is a great road to scrub in the new Avon tires... all round, not just in the middle. There was a British Sports Car rally in Olympic Plaza. Lots of MGs, Triumphs, Jags, a few Lotus, Aston Martins, Bentlys, and Minis. Oh, and a Rover 2000 TC. In the dim distant past, I owned a few of the models, and drove a few more. Good day, and only rode through two light showers.

My 1st gen was marking its spot in the garage. Did a little checking and the little coolant bypass valve was dribbling like an old man with severe prostrate issues. So I get on VentureRider to find out more. About the bypass valve, not the prostrate. Now is this a site or not. I discover it is a common issue, not serious, and no surprise, Sky Doc has an inexpensive fix for it. With good directions that even I might be able to fix. :shock3:Which is a disadvantage because I won't wind up in the Little Shop by the Creek at Sky Doc's place, with Jean wondering how two grown men can have so much fun. All of that without having to send out an SOS for a question already asked, answered, and a cheap fix available.

I just finished installing a new spring in my 1986 VR, using the kit from Sky Doc. First off, let me tell you that Sky Doc backs his stuff up with patience and understanding at a very high level. He put up with my nonsense (a result of not knowing what the H**L I was doing!) and more or less held my hand until the fog cleared and I saw what I was supposed to do! Now my VR hooks up like a VENTURE...a new one, that is! I was having slipping problems in higher gears and then after the first installation, I managed to have it in EVERY gear (Does that tell you how little I know about motorcycle mechanics?) But after Sky Doc and I talked quite a few times, he finally got through to my thick head and now the bike runs like it should. Other problems still exist, but it is nice to know when someone really follows through with his products like Sky Doc!!!! -

For anyone who might be interested the Googlemobile was in Victoria and came over to Saltspring. You can now get a virtual tour around Saltspring and the town of Ganges. At one point it goes up Fairway drive and you can see down my driveway. FYI. 68F on the deck today, not a cloud in the sky and it looks like two more weeks of the same. Downside is now I have no excuse for not getting at the wood pile for next year.

In June, my wife and I along with another couple will be taking a vacation to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and Sky Line Dr. There will be 2 bikes and both will be towing a trailer. We are planning on leaving GA traveling north on freeways to Virginia, do some white water rafting and then head over to the northern most end of Sky Line Dr. We want to head south on Sky Line Dr into the Blue Ridge Parkway continuing on BRP to the southern end. This is where I am asking for advise: How many days should I plan to be on SLD & BRP? We want to go at a casual pace enjoying the views and photo opportunities. Also, does anyone know of any "must see" things and places along the way? All advise will be appreciated! I know it's a little early for this because June is a long time off but we need to know how many days vacation requests to put in for.

There is some white stuff falling out of the sky. Does anyone know what it is. I think I saw something like this many, many, many years ago. I could have just been dreaming though. Whatever it is it is sticking all over the ground. Sure is pretty. Harry:sign woo hoo::sign woo hoo:

It seems that the rodents can't align ... Wiarton Willie (Ontario) and Shubenacadie Sam (Nova Scotia) both didn't see their shadow, and therefore are predicting an early spring. However, Punxsutawney Phil (Pennsylvannia) did proclaim "a bright sky I see and a shadow beside me, six more weeks of winter I see.' I think someone should go "Phil-hunting" ... Cheers, Lou
