    For anyone who might be interested there is a video of the Saltspring Island Toy Run on you tube. There are also pictures on face book at shutterjunkie and saltspring toy run. I don't know what they are as I am not on face book and don't want to be.

    Had a great weekend. Several of us rode from Saltspring up to Gold River on Vancouver Island for the weekend. Went up 19A along the coast then over to Gold River. Weather on Saltspring was great, we got to Campbell river and it clouded over, half way to GR we hit rain. Rained hard overnight. Light rain when we left. Back to cloud on Campbell river and sunshine on Saltspring. Ok, after Nelson and now this I give up, I am going to have to change from Sailor to Rainman.

    Anybody have any info on a motorcycle accident in the Portland Oregon area in the past few days? Someone thinks a rider from Saltspring may have been involved.

    Plans are firmed up for our annual toy run. For full info google Saltspring Island Toy Run. Fri Aug 24 Camp grounds at the Farmers Institute on Rainbow road opens for campers $10.00 for the weekend. Registration opens 0900 Saturday. Ride starts 1100 sharp. Bike games start 12:30. Entry to games and beer garden free. Tickets for bbq ( lamb on a spit) and dance $30.00. Just dinner $20.00. Entertainment by Beluga.     For anyone who might be interested the Googlemobile was in Victoria and came over to Saltspring. You can now get a virtual tour around Saltspring and the town of Ganges. At one point it goes up Fairway drive and you can see down my driveway. FYI. 68F on the deck today, not a cloud in the sky and it looks like two more weeks of the same. Downside is now I have no excuse for not getting at the wood pile for next year.
