I have a 5 gallon water bottle almost full that is my retirement. When I run across a situation like yours I loan them my cell phone. Last week on the way home from the ranch I found a couple broken down in the middle of nowhere they didn't speak any English and the only spanish I know seems to offend those folks. I had two choices shoot them or loan them my phone well with the price of amo these days I just loaned them my phone and listened to gibberish for 5 minutes.

Using the Volt Meter
Redneck replied to 91nwl's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
A volt meter tells the voltage in your electrical system. It can tell you the voltage is low in the battery with the engine not running but that will not tell you the battery is good or bad just current state of charge. with it running it will give you an indicator of your charging systems operation ether high or low a high reading (over 15 volts) would indicate a regulation problem. A low reading (below 12 volts) could indicate a regulation problem a generation problem or an over load problem from to much draw or a short. The volt meter is there so you can see if your system is operating properly if you understand how the system operates it can assist you with diagnosis of the problem. Are you really confused now? -
You could have at least taken a straw and shot him in the ear with a spit ball. Keep use posted we all want to know.

I would have to disagree with the statement that the bike would go into the asset column if using a home equity loan. Debt is a liability the only difference there would be if you defaulted you would be able to keep the bike but you would loose your house thats not an asset in my book.

If people can't pay cash then they sure can't afford interest and extra insurance for the bank.
-
I don't know mine or if I even have one. If I can't pay for it in full I can't afford it. I can't even imagine financing anything other than a house.
-
That all depends on what kind of welding you want to do and how much you want to pay. Many cheap welders are ac only and I personally would rather weld with a car battery and a set of jumper cables. For general purpose light to medium duty welding I would recommend a miller mig welder. If that is more than you want to pay I would get a dc capable cracker box it will cost more than an ac only but it is worth every penny in my opinion.

My first thought was the mother is looking for attention. I personally would not waste my time and emotions to get revenge against her because it will hurt you more than her. I would just stay away from her and try to put the situation behind me and look forward not back. I would recommend getting a copy of the police report make sure it is correct and keep it for ever for your protection. I'm really sorry to hear all of this I would not wish this on an enemy. Keep in mind this is just a test and you can and will pass it just keep looking forward. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. -
Its great to hear that big bob is progressing thanks for keeping us updated.

Change is the key try a folded hand towel you will be surprised how much difference it makes. change between pads towels ect at every stop and it will make her ride much better.

I switched last month I got so disgusted with hughes net I dumped them and got two alltel modems. The two mobile modems combined are just a little more than hughes net was. They are much faster and I now carry one with me and have one at home hooked to a router.

I bought an 18 speed a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I went for a ride and was enjoying it so much I went about 5 miles. The next day my knees were about double normal size. I still have that bike and it still has about 5 miles on it.
