After burning through the pirelli that came with my 2nd RSTD Im finally back on the CT. This time was the first time I had taken the tire off of the bike. It was surprisingly simple to do. Took it to my normal guy and it popped in at 50 psi. Note: tire was in the trunk for about an hour before i dropped it off. Heat and a clean rim are key. So glad to be back pn the DS.

Popped a headlight fuse the other day and changed it out and things seemed ok This morning I was going to go for a ride and again it popped... Ok...looked for a wire that lost insulation and was none... Now I don't even get anything when I turn the key... Where's the main fuse????

Had to change to head light this afternoon. tryed the handle bar system. turned to right. un pluged, turned rubber cap 180 degrees, popped off, popped the clib, and the bulb felt out. Hell that was easy. go buy a new bulb. 2-1/2 hours later of screeeeaaaaming, and using words not known in my house. I finally got it back together. My hands are swollen, I have cuts all over the place. next time, the shop can do it.

Just mounted my BFG c/t yesterday. seated at about 65 psi. I cleaned all the sticky stuff off the rim and cleaned it with the mesh strip I use for cleaning copper pipe before soldering. Use a generous amount of tire lube. First side popped up about 60 psi. Let the air out, relubed the other side where is was still not seated. Pumped it up to 65 psi. Still would not go. I took a standard 16 oz hammer and rapped the tire in the middle of the sidewall where it had not seated. About 5 or 6 raps and it popped up. I guess the vibrations enough to get it to "break friction". Undecided yet on performance. But in a panic stop today, GREATLY improved with no lock-up, just some tire chirp.

After almost making it to work, I came to a stop light and tried to down shift on the way to the light. When I stopped, it was still in 2nd. I tried to down shift to first but it wouldn't have it. I tried to rock it and shift up and back down again, but it still would not go into first. Stupid me, just pushed a little harder and it popped and went all the way down (like I broke something). It did go into first though. After that when I shift to first, it makes a grinding noise before it goes into gear. I do not hear this when I shift into 2nd and up. Did I break something?

:banana:I'm going to be a father-in-law! My oldest son, Matt, and his girlfriend Valerie got engaged last week. He popped the question last week while they were on a Caribbean cruise. I was surprised but not totally. No date set yet.

Police: Motorcyclist flipped bird, popped wheelie, crashed By Associated Press 11:45 AM EDT, May 6, 2008 COPIGUE, N.Y. - A Long Island man who flipped his finger at a police cruiser and then popped a wheelie on his motorcycle is recovering from injuries after crashing. Suffolk County Police said Frank Patti, 26, of West Islip, rode by the police car at a service station in Copiague at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say Patti made an obscene gesture to two officers in the car, popped a wheelie and then sped away. Police gave chase. When the motorcycle turned into a parking lot it crashed into a police car that had joined the chase.Police said Patti was treated for minor injuries at Southside Hospital. He's charged with fleeing police, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.He was being held for arraignment Monday. Police did not know if he had an attorney.
