  1. :rotf: :mo money: I thought you was talking about money.. I don't think there is any way to change the stock pipes
  2. When I have gotten phone calls they can hear my wife also. Now I'm not totally sure if its thru her mic or if my mic is picking her up.
  3. Your inherited Family "VentureRider.Org" will be praying for you and your loved one's Don.
  4. The cable I make is just for the mic in to the Zumo. But since you will have the fairing apart Radio Shack sells a 1/8" stereo splitter that you can plug in behind the fairing and then run your audio out from the Zumo into it under the fairing. Sorry I don't have any pics. You can Paypal me. the cost is $30. buddyrich@ebmc.com
  5. Hey Jeff. The cable I make works but you have to be on AUX to use the bluthooth phone as it coming thru the Zumo. I rarely ever go off AUX after installing the Zumo any way as I'm either listing to XM or mp3's thru it. The cables are 30 dollars and I will be making up some more late next week so I could mail it to you on the 24th.
  6. My job takes me mainly to the SF bay area. The one that Mark Twain described " The coldest winter I have ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". I am not a person that likes cold. Also regular trips to Reno,Las Vegas,Carson City, Santa Ana, Carlsbad, Sacramento and a few other weird places...
  7. You could just go to the local truck stop and get your self a firestik, heavy duty spring, and mount then change the end on the cb lead to the standard instead of this pl259 or what ever it is they put on it. Probably the least out of pocket if you don't need the fold down. Anyway check out this link http://kollmanradio.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_144_224&products_id=769
  8. :shock3::shock3: Addiction , NEVER,, :rotf: Well, maybe just a little :bang head: :rotf::rotf:
  9. Man, Its 9pm and I'm still sweatin down here. :rotf:
  10. Yes. The cb will override the stereo when theres cb radio traffic
  11. The corbin has a lot of wrap around. Don't know about it being taller. Look at the Corbin website or the yamaha web site as they sell the corbin for the RSV but its a bit steep there.
  12. Try a can of Seafoam. If that don't do it and you have changed plugs then let Yamaha fix it under warranty
  13. Jeeze ECK, I only got 63 on mine. Now I got to order another 63 to keep up with you. So the next time we ride together we won't need to use our headlights. :rotf:
  14. If I were the dealer, At this point I would be checking the swing arm and frame for correct alignment.
  15. Had to replace a front bearing on a Nomad a few years ago. Dealer told me they don't usually need to be replaced BUT what happens is if you use a power washer around the grease seal and water gets back in there. It pits the balls in the bearing. You could feel the roughness when turning the bearing by hand.
  16. That's great to know. Thanks
  17. Yes. Mine does it. You will find that its showing about 7.5 % faster than your actual speed also. A few of us here have installed the Speedohealer on them.
  18. One thing that stands out on our bikes is the shape of the fairing and trunk. Totally different than an HD. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/feedback/07_StarCalendarImages.aspx?id=7&pg=all
  19. Brad had it for a while and it burned out. Don't think its going to work.
  20. That's a really good idea.
  21. What he said. The onboard battery would also only be used if you are hiking. Then you just turn it on as needed to get your bearings and turn it off and keep moving
  22. JOIN THE DARK SIDE LUKE, We have now walls on 2nd gens. Just kidding. Check the airfilter box. Those first gens are real particular about holes and such in it.
  23. Get the lower wind vents from Yamaha. http://www.dgy.com/eshopprod_cat_2858-6666-4199_product_330412.TINTED_LOWER_WIND_VENTS.htm
  24. I would think you could use any thermistor that will give you the resistance readings needed by the gauge to show the correct temp on the gauge. Is it a 2 lead unit with a bi-metal sensor?
  25. Really interested in this when you get it done. 5th is kinda usless for getupandgo....
