  1. Just wanted to check if all of you have received your patches. I think that the only people who may not have received them are wkboard and maybe seabeetom. Those should be there soon. If you have paid and not received yours, please let me know. I have a LOT of patches still and also still have some VR Guardian Bells if anybody wants some. Don
  2. I bought a set of arm rests from Larry for my '09 RSV. Larry shipped them same day he received payment and I received them about 6 days later (in Canada). Had a minor issue with alignment and went to Larry's to work it out together. He has his triked so it fit a little different but Larry resolved it same day and even took me out for dinner ! On the ride home (about 350km), my girlfriend commented on how comfortable it was. She's happy... so I'm happy ! I've gotten several items from Larry (Stebel horn bracket and wiring, lift adapter with legs) and as usual, the items are top quality with great support. While at Larry's I also picked up the engine guard braces. Here's the mandatory pics :
  3. Don't know if this has been posted before. Found and ordered one these wall clocks off of Ebay. ($25) He has all models of MC and other vehicles. Just received mine today. Here is the link: Merry Christmas to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-S-Wall-Clock-Free-USA-Shipping-/121033158081?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4230751189823041217%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D121033158081%26
  4. Here is an interesting email I received. Beautiful story and song.. Enjoy.... Story About the Song While at the mall a couple of years ago, my then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, "where's the line to see Jesus"? My sister mentioned this to my dad, who immediately became inspired and jotted words down to a song in just a few minutes. After putting music to the words, and doing a quick recording at home, he received a great response from friends. He sent the song off to Nashville without much response, except for a Christian song writer who suggested adding a bridge at the end of the first chorus. My dad then asked if I wanted to record the song to see what we could do with it. I listened to the song, made a few changes to the words to make it flow better, and we headed to Shock City Studios. It was at the studio where Chris, owner and producer, rewrote the 2nd verse and part of the chorus... With goose bumps and emotions high, we were all hopeful and felt like we had something special. The demo was recorded in just under 2 hours and sent off again to Nashville ... Still no response. Then 2 weeks before Christmas last year, my cousins Greg and Robbie decided to do a video to see what we could accomplish on YouTube. The first day we had 3000 hits and it soared from there. We received e-mails, phone calls, Facebook messages from people all over asking for the music, CD's, iTunes, anything... We had nothing. After a couple of meetings with Chris following the amazing response, we got serious. We headed back into the studio this past spring... This time with guitars, drums, bass, pianos, choirs... The real deal.... And here we are today. Getting iTunes set up, a website put together, and loving that thousands upon thousands of Christians have come together... Remembering the true meaning of Christmas. Out of the mouths of babes come profound truths that many adults can not understand. Hopefully Spencer's observation will cause people all over to reflect on the love of Jesus, and that one day we will all stand in line to see Him. We are most thankful to our Heavenly Father to have this chance to share our music with you. Merry Christmas everyone. Take a Seat

I received this by email and thought it was pretty good. http://www.theinspiration.com/2011/09/carlsberg-stunt-in-cinema/
  9. I just answered the biz phone, and received an automated recording. "This is Ebay calling. If you are expecting this call press '0' " I didn't, and hung up. I don't do anything off a recording... It may have been a scam?? I went to my Ebay message board and there was nothing posted.... It probably was a scam.... Be forwarned...
  10. Venture07 has mufflers for sale and I've tried to contact him but received no reply. Does anyone know if he's still around?
  11. Received my patch today and love it. Thanks Golf&Venture for the effort you put into this. Geo
  12. Like I feel many of you do, I routinely use brake parts cleaner. It works well, does not leave residue, and it is reasonably cheap. And, like many, I don't pay a lot of attention to the warnings on the can. I received the following in an e-mail from a friend and I think it warrants bringing to the attention of others on here. RandyA http://www.brewracingframes.com/id75.htm
  13. I dropped my 06 RSV off last week at the stealership because the rear shock was leaking. Even though you all told me that it was covered under warranty, I still expected them to come back and say it wasn't covered for some obscure reason....Well, I got the call today that my shock was in and they have received approval from Yamaha to replace it! So in a few days I'll have the bike back...Just in time for our 2700 mile trip!
  14. Last week I called J&M about a headset that was way out of warranty (bought in '07) and that the upper portion of the cable's wire had broken internally. They told me to ship it to them and they would look at it and give me a repair cost. I sent it out Priority mail and in 2 days received an e-mail in the a.m. that they received. Another e-mail later that afternoon that they shipped back a NEW headset !!!! Received it today and I can tell you that their customer service was great. I was looking at a replacement cost of $170-ish. Thanks J&M !! BEER30
  15. My 2008 came with visors on the headlight and the turnsignals/driving lights. I never have liked the look. Was the first thing I changed. Anyone want a set to put to use? I don't want to sell, just a thanks for the answers received already. Frank
  16. I don't like using Craigslist due to their reputation but I also realize it can come in handy at times. I have never looked to buy anything from it though. A few months ago I placed a used car on there for sale along with some pics. Nothing unusual about it. Within a couple days Craigslist flagged and removed it. Their notice to me admits that sometimes posts are removed by mistake. Well, yesterday I put a Poulan chain saw on the free section saying the first to e-mail me can have it if they pick it up. I must have received 20 e-mails within 30 minutes. I was able to arrange someone to pick it up so no problem. I even went back and edited the original post saying the saw had been claimed. I didn't delete it just yet so those waiting to hear from me could see it was claimed. I then received the same flagged/remove notice from CL. Any idea what is happening?
  17. I know that some of you have still not received your mugs. It seems that some are taking much longer than usual to be delivered. I know that Redneck and tnt05venture have reported that they have not received theirs yet. Anybody else? If you have NOT received your VentureRider mugs, please post in this thread.
  18. For the Canadians on site: The Heart & Stroke Foundation is doing a calendar this year for $25. There is $5000 drawn daily, $10,000 drawn weekly and $100,000 every month. A GREAT idea for xmas, keeps on giving ALL year. http://calendar.pdgmedia.com/ I just received the 3 calendars that we ordered 2 weeks ago. Oh yeah, 3 for $70 or 6 for $120. Good luck.
  19. Well I was wondering if anyone who sent in the rebate has received the MasterCard gift card back from Avon yet. Sent mine in well before the deadline and havent seen a thing from them. I even called and left message and nothing so far. I thought I would check and see if anyone has received theirs yet. And as a side note, when I called I ended up getting a hold of Mickey Thompson Tires. Guess they are associated with Avon now. Thanks Rick F.
  20. First, a special thanks to eusa1 (mike) for sending me a tank badge, I'm not sure which side it is for, as I have not yet received it, but if anyone has another laying around, I'm interested. Here is the bike, a 2008 with 6K on it.

  22. I just received my battery that I ordered from RJ ATV in Spring Hill,Florida and upon opening it and admiring it I am told that there is no ACID in the battery and No ACID in the shipment---What a RIPOFF!----what do I do now---do the auto parts stores sell the acid?
  23. Alright everyone just a quick update on the suppliers I mentioned in the other post ($6 LED's. $13 S&H. I like it.) Two of the suppliers LED's matched in brightness on fairly fast shipping and handling time considering coming from China and Hong Kong. http://stores.ebay.com/verimage_Car-...34Q2ec0Q2em322 http://stores.ebay.com/Julysky-NO1_C...34Q2ec0Q2em322 Both of these I was totally happy with. Now the nightmare begins. [/url]http://stores.ebay.com/ezonedirect_C...0Q2em14?_pgn=3 I would not buy from again under any circumstances. First let me say that they are very responsive to any communications and will refund your money if you have any problems. Now on Feb 2, 2010 I purchased 6 24ct green LED's from them. On March 5th I receive 3 of the six. On March 8th I received another one and on March 11th I received another one and today is March 15th and I still have not received the 6th one. Alright they are cheap enough I will go with that one if and when it shows up. Well I start installing them and I can't get them to work and I finally figure out that 4 of the five I have are wired backwards. Ok no big deal I'll just reverse the wires. Then I notice I have 3 different shades of green. That will never work. I have 2 that are the same shade of green and are the same shade as the rest of the LED's already installed. Of these 2 LED's one is wired backwards. Of the three remaining LED's one is only medium brightness and all three LED's their color doesn't match what is already on the bike. The 6th one is floating around the world someplace. The wires as stated before are very very tiny so I broke them a few times installing them but no big deal just make sure you don't cut them to short just in case you have to redo them. EZONEDIRECT is giving me my money back and has had great communication throughout this whole ordeal. My advice would be to stick with the other two dealers and by all of your LED's at once so they will match. The other two companies I bought 4 from one and 6 from the other and they all match. Conclusion, If your going for cheap (like me) then you are going to have a few problems. I would do it all over again because the cost saving far outway the problems I've had. My Cheap (Harry)

  25. Just received some Replacement OEM Parts from http://partshark.com/. (877.999.5686) Very satisfied with the order. Their website was easy to navigate, the pricing decent, and I was able to see the pictograms of the parts as I ordered. Upon ordering I received a confirmation email, followed shortly thereafter with an email explaining the status of my order and a promised email upon the parts being shipped. I did receive that email, with tracking #, the day they shipped. Parts arrived 7 days after ordered. The parts were correct, the process painless and as promised, hence the plug for these guys!!!! By the way, what does OEM stand for?
