New Member here with a new to me 06 RSTD. WOW I love it.... but...my wife HATES the seat. I have seen many posts about different seats but wanted to know what other passengers think. I would love to install Venture Pillow Tops like so many have but cant find any available? Any for sale anywhere? Any advice? I would send whatever seats I get to Rick Buttler for his special treatment but need to know what passengers really like! Thanks in advance... Bob -

Relocating Trunk on 86

I would like to find some way to locate my trunk a couple of inches farther back. Then I will be able to leave my driver's back rest on when I take passengers who are not skinney. Can anyone suggest how to do this? Is there a relocation kit available? -
I have a 06 RSV. My sweetie has mentioned that she would like something like highway pegs for the back. I see that Diamond R has them. If any one has them mounted on a second gen can you post a pic so I can see where they would mount and how they would look. If there are any passengers willing to share their experience with passenger highway pegs we would appreciate that input as well. Thanks all

I am considering a J&M Model HS8154 headset for a 3/4 helmet ( I have an '88 Venture Royale). Is this a decent quality product? I have seen it mentioned here a few times. I am probably looking to use it with the CB more than anything else...just to communicate with others I am riding with. And then probably only looking to use it on a limited basis. I ride solo most of the time so not really looking to communicate with passengers. If anyone has other suggestions let me know.......and if you know make, model etc. I would appreciate it. I have seen the recommendations to shop at WingStuff but as a Canadian I will pay a premium in shipping, duties etc. to get it here. So suggestions for that would be appreciated too. Thanks! rez

I am seriously considering purchasing a mint 2003 Venture. I know they are wonderful bikes and that every bike no matter what it is has some ticks, issues and problems. I would like to know what this model's are. Thanks so very much in advance... George When I go, I want to go like my grandfather, quietly in his sleep. Not like the screaming passengers in his car.

My intercom plug doesn't allow me to talk through it. I first thought it might be the cable that goes to the helmet, so I switched them around to no avail. I even put a dab of dialectic grease in there thinking maybe a connection wasn't good. Well...a connection isn't good but the grease didn't help. Is there a common fix to this? The plug is quite loose compared to the passenger's plug so I figure something has just moved out of tolerance. Is the plug/wire replaceable? Parts are dealer only? Does this sound like a good time to "sell" the Scala Bluetooth headset idea to my wife? -
Lots have spoken to the seat change-out issue... anyone done anything with the passengers backrest on the RSV? The wife wants something more like the 1st gen (which we just sold) or a Wing. Taller, more wrap around. Not seeing aftermarket customizations like this. Any ideas? bob
