  1. Oops, frank d is correct, I had the wrong side...
  2. OK at idle, the stator is not kicking out enough to keep up so I would expect around 12 volts. Running 3000 to 4000 plenty of stator output so I would expect to see 14+ volts. After charging for several hours, 12.5 to 13 volts (give or take a few tenths of a volt for all readings)...
  3. Yah!! I can see taking a spare resovoir cover and drilling and installing a hydraulic line and attaching it to a resovoir and air pressure forcing fluid into the brake system to pressure bleed the system too!! Speed bleeders are available and run about $20 for a set of 3 from various sources such as Ebay, some Auto parts stores, and Buckeye performance. They do work very nice but do not solve the problem of air being trapped in the line at the high point of the line comong from the rear to the front. That's why they put that bleeder there!!! Pressure bleeding will remove that problem but I'm not sure how well it would work on the proportioning valve. It SHOULD open it like normal but you never know...
  4. Hmmmmm, I see a 2nd gen in Wayne's future...:stirthepot:
  5. Yah!! Did a study with my cage several years ago and found by going from regular to middle premium I got slightly better MPG's but my cost per mile went waaaaaay up in comparison!! Unless you have a pronounced ping with regular, which suggests something is wrong, you are throwing your money away. In some cases with cages, you are actually doing more harm than good using premium when regular is called for...
  6. Nah! Just pull the inspection cover... Of course you have to remove the saddlebag...
  7. Ask Marcarl about getting the rotor off of Wizard765's bike...
  8. They should be all interchangeable. Now the engine covers (side panels) are a slightly different story...
  9. OK Two known issues with 1st gwens... 1 . Battery cables are anemic at least!!! Replace them with heavier gauge cables. 2. The 2 brush starter is inferior to a 4 brush starter. Available as a Vmax starter or a 2nd gen starter. That being said, your battery may very well be on the way out. Replace with a Odessey or DEKA...
  10. Yah!! I like it when the route is preplanned, owning a trike I have no problems with the twisties, and no problem with a beer or maybe two at lunch but any more is suicide...
  11. If you want to go all the way to removing the cable and greasiong it, use white lithium grease for max lubrication, but I'm thinkiong the above suggestions should help out. You may want to loosen the clamps on the right switch and resovoir and make sure it is not binding up because of being too squished together...
  12. Line the walls with plastic blanket as well!! Yes your biggest offender is the floor but a lot can come in thru the walls as well. Not sure of the outside environment and conditions...
  13. I agree, the last I saw it was at Freebirds...
  14. Yes, make it a point to rotate the pads every 5K or so as one side definately wears faster than the other!! Thanks for the heads up Goose!!
  15. Yah!! We have a definate interest in returning but it wassn't gonna work out for us this year. Next year will be a definate yes!!

  20. Very good Gary!!! Myself I resanded all of mine to make sure they would reseat but I would have preferred replacing them. When I got the new SS brake lines there was new crush washers with them but they were aluminum not copper but hey, as long as the material is softer it's gonna do what it is suppose to do...
  21. You will find the Corbin sets even lower and you have a tendency to slide forward on it. Not sure about the Mustang seets. For the money, you will probably be better served having the seat restuffed/reupholstered, or jack up your air suspension a bit more...
  22. One... Two... Three... Four... Five... Six...
  23. I get to see the bike in person too!! Maybe even meet Pegscraper in person as well! Not sure, I may have already met him once at an International or Regional...
