Most of you will probably notice it sooner or later but I just wanted to let you know that I have added a new banner to the upper right of our pages. You will see a banner for Ace High Leathers show up randomly with the very few others that I have running. Many of you have already dealt with Nanci at Ace High Leathers and therefore know about the fantastic works that she does. Now it is easy to get to her site by simply clicking the banner. I would like to have the Black VR Banner at Tail of the Dragon V @ Vogel, but I dont know who has it. I was hoping whoever has it would be coming to Vogel, but it sure would be a great asset to Vogel by any means possible. It has been at all the previous Vogel's it really stands out for everyone to see. Can anyone point me in the right direction? [ATTACH]59245[/ATTACH]

The great folks at our host hotel - the Skyline - have offered to hang our VentureRider banner - welcoming all of us. So the question - do we have one, if so where is it, etc. We would like to get it (if possible) to the hotel by Sat. July 23. The owners at the Skyline are starting to get excited to see us all again, and are being extremly helpful in assisting us while we are there. OK folks, here's the thing. Motorcycle Gear, previously New Enough, has changed the program that they have used for a long time. The old program allowed you to designate your "favorite club" and then they put a dollar in the clubs account that I could then use as prizes and etc. in contests. They have now discontinued that program. They are now using a "affiliates code" like many other online advertisers do. They will now pay a small fee if a buyer enters their site from clicking on a banner. So, I am asking you to please use the banner that rotates at the upper right of the forum and the home page if you go to Motorcycle Gear to place an order. If you go to their site via your own bookmarks and etc., VentureRider will get no credit for your purchases. The same is true of Jake Wilson and Motorcycle Superstore. If you don't go to their sites by clicking on the banner at the top of our site, we get no credit for your purchases there. I don't fill our site with a lot of banners because I don't want this site to be about bombarding you with advertisements but if you use the few that I have at the top, it does help to support the club. Also, we have $159.00 in our old account with them and we have to give it away now or will lose it. So, we need to have a contest and the winner will receive a $159.00 gift certificate from Motorcycle Gear. I will give it some thought and come up with something later today. I will make a new post when I decide what kind of contest it will be this time. It will be something simple though and probably run for a week.

Well folks, I wasnt planning on having any auctions yet, but I have been getting items donated to do just that, so I asked Don to put the St. Jude Auction back in the classifieds and make a banner, which he has graciously done. Keep you eye on them, I will start posting some items by the end of the week. It works the same as last time, just click on the banner at the top of the page and it will take you there, if its not there just hit your refresh button till it comes up or go to the classified section and look for St. Jude Auctions. I want to thank all the wonderful members that make up this site for being so unselfish and helping with this cause.

i need a member to make up a banner for the 09 rally to put at the entrance to the hub so people know where to turn. it has to be about 6'x 30". and i want it to say venture rider.org 2009 rally on both sides with an arrow. black back ground with white letters or vice versa. if some one would like to volunteer for this give me a price. free would be acceptable to. lol. we really need this and it would be much appreciated. pm me. thanks bill bill

For those looking for info for the Tail of the Dragon/Vogel IV, there is now a banner at the top of the page which rotates with the other banner ads, clicking on this will take you to the information page, which has the registration form, RSVP link and links to Vogel State Park. Time is passing quickly, sodont forget to register.

Some of you may have noticed that I've added a banner at the upper right of the site that says "VentureRider St. Jude Auctions". If you click on that banner, it will take you to a new classified's section that is dedicated to the items being auctioned off to benefit St. Judes. Those banners are random so you may have to refresh the page a couple of times to see it. You can also just click on the "Classifieds" link in the upper menu bar. I also want to thank the ever wonderful DragonRider for his continued efforts in regards to this cause.

Is anyone getting the following message at times,not all the time,in the banner area at the top of the page on the home page.........."Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched.If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error" .......This is coming up again in the banner area and it also takes me back to the home page that was active on 6/17/08. When I refresh it takes me to the cureent home page..Now it IS NOT doing it all the time but a few times every hour. Strange.
