  1. Take a look and listen................ http://youtube.googleapis.com/v/x2ml2wWBCm8%26autoplay=1%26showinfo=0
  2. http://www.facebook.com/groups/berlinbrigade/ THIS IS GREAT
  3. I picked up an 86 royale this March and it wouldn't idle. Run down the highway but still wasn't really true Venture. I read about Seafoam and after 6 bottles, 700 miles of riding 'er hard (the bike, not wife) it still ran like crap at idle. I saw post after post about "Sync it" and still I didn't believe. I chased all kinds of imagined electrical issues, changed spark plugs, ohm'd wires and still it sounded like it was missing. Last night, I finally decided to build a poor man's sync tool with tubing and trans fluid. To my amazement when I started it, the 4th cylinder tried to suck all the fluid out. After 40 minutes of tweeking, it's purring like a kitten with it's tail on fire. Moral: Listen to the experts on here, they're wise beyond what is shown and SYNC your carbs, dammit. thanks guys
  4. I can do all this with a Venture and get to listen to the radio at the same time. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Cj6ho1-G6tw&vq=medium
  5. While coming back from Cody with a stator that was putting out a charge I could finally turn on the CB to listen via the dash speakers since I didn't have a helmet with wired up with J&M's. I could hear everything Vic said thru the dash speakers, and I could reply... 1 click=yes, 2 clicks= no, and 3 or more clicks= did you see that set of....?? Now I'm thinking about cutting off the speakers of the headset, and just wiring in the mic. Think it might work to transmit only?? I have the room to mount the mic, it's those thick speakers that are a PITA. Beside I hardly ever listen to audio anyway... Whatcha think??
  6. than sorry. Just in case anyone going to Cody in a couple of weeks but has been trapped under a rock for the past few days or does not listen to the national news. http://www.charter.net/news/read.php?ps=1011&rip_id=%3CD9OAG2D00%40news.ap.org%3E&news_id=17094067&src=most_popular_viewed Just stay alert while in Yellowstone.....
  7. I am coming from the wing and with that you could listen to the radio and then if the CB kicked in it would mute the radio and you would hear the CB. The dealer told me this system is independent meaning you either listen to the radio or switch to CB and listen for that. Also if I was to purchase a GPS would I be able to plug it into the aux near the cassette and have that work with the CB and radio. Hope my question makes sense.

    CB radio

I have a question. Do you need a headset plugged in to hear the CB? I know that you need a mike to talk but can't you listen through the audio system?
  15. I have a eye on a 1st gen what do I look for so I don't get hosed? He said the 2nd gear was fixed. How could I tell? this what I think I should look for. Cracks in plastic. dash working repair records if available. I know enough to listen to the way people talk and try to decide how much is BS or not. Any help appreciated. Bubber
  16. I put XM/sirius radio on my RSV, went in fairing unpluged the wire going to the tape deck aux port, plugged up and ext set, placed the Sirius antenna on the trunk rack, its magnetic so it just grabs on. Mounted the receiver on the right side master cylinder. Works great, what ever I want to listen to, no tapes, no cd's, no batteries. no little box to keep up with. just music with no problems, $120 yearly. And yes it been in the rain several times, no problems. Gregg
  17. Hey All, This is Utadventure's son again. Lately I have been working on a project and now that it's done I thought you all would like to see it. I have a bike that did not have a cb installed so I bought an aftermarket one off the internet. After a while I realized that while it was nice to have a cb I would also like to be able to listen to my iPod while on the road. At first I just spliced a headphone cable into a 5pin din plug so I could do this. This didn't last long cause while I could listen to my ipod or my cb I couldn't listen to both cause they interferred with each other and i didn't want to ruin one with the sound coming from the other. What I wanted was a box that I could plug both my ipod and cb into that would swap between the two depending on wich was putting out sound. I checked at WingDing and searched the internet but couldn't find one that was sold seperately. I got together with a neighbor of mine and showed him what it was I was looking to do and together we came up with some plans. The box I built cost me about $35 and a few hours of soldering the components together. The box has 2 inputs and 1 output. Now the inputs could've been anything i wanted but i have a 3.5mm jack and a 5pin din. the 3.5mm jack is normally closed so even if the box is off it will still go through to the output. The 5pin din input is the cb, any time sound comes from the cb it cuts the primary input (ipod). The sensitivity to trip the switch can be changed so that it isn't tripped until the cb is loud enough. I'll be posting pictures with this post. The top has an on/off button, a power indicator light, and a swich indicator light to tell when the secondary input is overriding the primary. I've tested it in the garage, bike running and all, now I just need to take it out on the road.
  18. Anyone got a CB for a 1st gen. they would part with? Squelch pot on mine is shot so I can either listen to CB or radio but not both at the same time.
  19. It has been said, and I have found, that if you sing Amazing Grace.... you will feel better for hours afterward. This particular version is unexpected. DIVO performs it! It is done in the magnificent setting of the Coliseum. Very moving. Very uplifting. It is..... "amazing." Listen...my hope is that you will feel better for hours. From my heart to yours. 21. Well most of you that know me, Knows I put 110% in my work. That is with two full time jobs which at one time I had a third part time job as well. Any way Peg kept telling me I'm not as young as I used to be. But I still give it my all... Anyway last Thursday I started feeling bad in my chest and head area but I kept on working both jobs at full speed, each day seemed a little harder for me to get my work done. Saturday I was running 103 temp but kept on going hard at my work. fever finally broke Monday night but this morning I could not speak good could not breath and could not stand much either . So Peg took me to the Doctor sure enough I had the dang Pneumonia again. I know if I listen to her I would have not be in this spot again. My Doctor said I had the Pneumonia same time last year by their records. So I'm sitting hear at home playing on the computer coughing my head off and talking to the hotel & motel folks in Ark. doing some up dates on our Reservations list for the Rally this year. So next time Peg tells me something I'll listen... MAYBE Buddy
