Bike not running right - HELP PLEASE!
BuddyRich replied to Yamaman's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The anti freeze leak is probably coming from behind the false heads. Remove them and you should see the drip path. There's a couple of small plugs that the false heads push in on. I used some duck tape on them and the extra thickness of just one layer of duck tape was enough to stop the leak. How far out are is the carb sync ? -
Adjustable passenger foot peg add ons. Flip out hiway bars for the riders floorboards. Painted or polished alum would work just fine.

All military networks are under constant attack of some kind 24x7. Its the new electronic warfare. As a matter of fact I don't think there's a machine that has not been attacked one way or another. That's why you have to have at least basic protection such as firewalls and AV's.

Bike not running right - HELP PLEASE!

Dang Brad, You need to take that thing out and get it dirty -
Get a Zumo 550. Then you can pair them and with one of my cables answer the phone while your riding. You can just keep the phone in your pocket...

Just got the Touch Pro, Same thing but with a slide out keyboard. You can get and install the Gramin mobile XT on it. That way your GPS will work with out a cell signal. Yours doesn't have the microsd card slot because its got 4gb internal memory but there's a way to copy it from the garmin microxd chip onto your phone.

Try some Seafoam. Turn the gas off and pull the fuel line from the bottom of the tank. Stick it into a can of seafoam and let it run till it starts smoking from sucking up the seafoam. Re connect the fuel line and turn the gas back on.Shut it down and let it sit all night. Start it back up in the morning and run it till it stops smoking. This may clean out the carbs enough that you won't have to pull them. -

You'll know if you have enough seafoam when it starts smoking. That's when its filled the bowls and its starting to burn nothing but seafoam. May have to choke it to get it to start again.

None of the above. They are actually there to keep the carbs from icing up under certain conditions. Foggy and cold, like just above freezing, can cause ice build up in the we wittle itty bitty holes the air flows thu. Block it with ice and you ain't goin anywhere.

Mostly it just the satellites limit you to 5. What I have read is that most wireless broadband may go with 20. Actually your router should be keeping a track of packets sent and received. Its probably never been reset. Go into the router and look under status or maintenance. Who's your ISP ?

Try the simple stuff first. Loose triple tree bearings, Lower wind deflectors cracked, Something loose in the fairing. Don't think you lost your fork oil or it would be affecting the ride all the time. Lots of bouncing. -

Of course they don't recommend seafoam. Its cuts into their profit margin a bunch. We have cleared up many a problem with this stuff. Glad you got it fixed -
Nope, but they are really heavy and I never could pick one up. Always rode the dang thing. Check for the whine and see that the radio works
