Hey Jim, I have my RSTD's drilled out. They have a lot more sound the way I did it. If you get a chance come by (or meet half way) and I'll let you listen. If you want to trade we can do that too. I can redrill out the ones your using. These are fairly loud. I like the way they sound but would like them a little quieter at times.

06 Purchase?? Some Feedback
BuddyRich replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Check KBB.com on the price. As long as the warranty is transferred you'll be fine. The engines are pretty much bullet proof. Take it for a spin first. Listen and see if you can live with the whine. 25 in 2nd. 35 in 3rd. Pretty much that's where you'll here it if its going to bother you. -
 Jeeze Scuba diving, That's almost a crazy as ridin a motorcycle in traffic. :rotf: Have fun

I would think that just maintaining a straight line and steady speed would pull it back out of the weave

Good lookin Bike.

That's what I did. The only Incandescent bulbs left on mine are the 2 passing/headlights. The main headlight is an HID which draws 35 watts instead of 55.

This is what I use. We don't need the V speed rating anyway. TIRE RATINGS http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcycle-tires/tire-data.htm

Looks about right. the average single LED draws 20 milliamps. So as long as the wedges are a single led thats right. Unless they are the 1 watt or 3 watt led but I doubt that as those would be very bright.

If you were approved by Honda Credit then you can go to any Honda Dealer and get the bike. I would have tossed them the keys to the 89 and said here is the rest of your down...

To check the oil I put a makeup mirror on the floor and sit on the bike and level it. Then I can see it easy

Didn't the 07's have a problem with a loose head bolt ?
-
Check your idle speed. Maybe too low. Seems mine is around 900.

It could be the control unit or the cable. Split the faring and on the left side of the headlight you will see a bundle of wires that have large round connectors with different colored bands on them. Pull them apart and put some di-electric grease on them. That may solve the problem

That's OK, We'll wait for you to catch up.... Good Luck with the new bike.
