  1. Couple of videos I made last night using my phone. Now the phone has a crappy picture but you can see just how much brighter these are. Watch the refelectors way off in the distance. The second one is on the back road to the house. The grass and the trees are really lit up on that one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9TSTxoTC7s [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9TSTxoTC7s]YouTube - 3[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtYxINUdEBo]YouTube - 3 headlights[/ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtYxINUdEBo
  2. What are y'all tryin to say ?? Bike resembles Dolly Parton ? :rotf:
  3. Got the lights mounted. They work well for spotting deer, goats, pigs,or bigfoots standing anywhere near the road.
  4. Going to go to 5 3/4 headlight for my passing lamps. They should put out a lot of light. Here's some pics of the first one mounted. May have to use one of the light bar spacers to get enough clearance but right now its very close to where it needs to be. Just have to light them up to see if they will tilt back far enough for proper aiming.
  5. Finding parts..... The 1st gen is no where near the classic style of a car made for only 1 year.... Sides, It don't even got fins on it. :rotf:
  6. NOPE, They is just runnin out of 20 year old parts. Kinda like tryin to find parts for a 57 chevy :witch_brew:
  7. Jeeze Jack, You look much younger in that picture. When was that taken? 20 years ago? :rotf:
  8. Most mp3 players are portable, Can't say I ever saw one panel mounted. There are a lot of car radios out now with MP3 built in and a USB port or SD card slot so all you do is plug in your flash drive and play it
  9. My rear pads last less than 10k miles. Haven't replaced the front yet with 48k on them.
  10. Just like any other manf they use a single engine on multiple bikes so I would expect they will be redoing the RSV and RSTD. They put a lot of time and effort into making that engine. Not to use it in different configurations would make no sense.
  11. If its loose when its up I would really look at the nut and bolt then. Mine is not really loose when its up. I did have to take it apart once and clean and grease it cause it got a bunch of crap in it. That time it was dragging when I went to put it down. I'm not relly sure what you mean about bounce. Maybe the spring is weak. Mines a 05 and it doesn't bounce when its up and I'm going down the road. But I have actually never watched to see if it did.
  12. Check to be sure the nut and bolt are tight. Also grease it. Mine will flex out just a little when the weight of the bike is put on it.
  13. The HE## you say..... Really don't like those second gens.....:rotf:
  14. Is this. Its off the ladder on my boat. I got a longer ladder and need to replace 4 of these. You can see it sits flush on one side cause the ladder folds up and lays over it.
  15. An easy way to get seafoam in the bowls is to remove the line from the tank and put it in a can of seafoam. Let the bike run till its starts missing and then shut it off. Now all the carbs are full of seafoam. Let it sit overnight and then start it the next day. You'll need to choke it and it will smoke big time for a few minutes till you get all the seafoam cleared but will clean the carbs out real good.
  16. Lets build a pond on the stage and put a lawnmower up there and Watch Don drive around it till the inevitable happens. We'll make bets on which lap.
  17. Sorry to hear that. Take it easy and heal up.
  18. Don't know. But a lot members here use EBC Double HH sintered
  19. I haven't lost mine yet. Have read about a couple of people losing theirs though.
  20. Glad you found it. I have my Zumo wires running on the left side and the tach is on the right and that's probably why I never ran into it.
  21. Took my dealer 5 weeks after they got it to complete the repairs and get it back to me. But here in San Antonio we have a really long riding season, like 12 months, as long as you can stand the heat in mid-day during July and August.
  22. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aUcRxCgQOLdo Yea, But EVERYBODY is losing money right now unless your sellin oil.
  23. You may have a bad Xformer in that cable if your getting a loud popping or clicking all the time even at lower volumes. Why don't you send it back to be and I'll redo it. I test them before I send them out but that's only a real short test. It may have been damaged in shipping.
  24. That's basically what I was saying. I had the tick all the time over the intercom till I messed with the audio wires going from the front to the back. Now I don't get it any more.
  25. If the shielding is intact then its probably not the cable. Are you picking up the tick in your headsets and the speakers ?If I turn my intercom up to 14 or higher (with or without my cable) I will pick up a tick in the intercom. Try that and see if you get it. If you do then you want to reroute the cables under the tank. Also where did you mount it ? I can send you another and we can try that or you can send that one back and I can refund your money. Either way works for me.
