Don't know about a max size. But I put an 8gb in mine and there is a performance issue with it when you get that large. It takes a lot longer for the Zumo to read that big of a card. A 2gb is much faster. Now I remember reading somewhere if you create folders its faster/ Haven't tried that yet.

Image Resizer for Windows Vista
BuddyRich replied to Freebird's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
I have a multi boot setup. Booted into Vista Ultimate and installed it. It works, The first time you use it it will ask you to set the defaults. -
I think it will be 20 to the 10 to the 8 . In a uhaul its going to be a 32 to 36 hour trip at best. They don't go uphill real fast. If you leave Wed morning you may be there Thurs night. Driving straight thru is tough in a uhaul. They ain't known for their comfort. You will probably hit traffic in one of the citys. Good luck.

I'd go with a Venom. They are great tires. I usually get about 15k out of one. -
Anyone else had this problem?

Brakes squeal is easy. Just stop by your auto parts and get some auto anti-squeal to put on the back of the pads- 5 replies

Swing by your local automotive paint store. They can come out and match the paint with a hand held device. Then mix up a quart. I did that for the spoiler. Still got most of the quart of Liquid Silver. It was a perfect match. Think it ran me 40 for the quart. Since its small piece you can swing by any Harbor Freight and pick up an HVLP touch up gun. You'll need some clear for the top coat also but the automotive paint store should have everything you need. Take the lid with you to Cinn. Should find some pretty good prices there.

Noise when leaning
BuddyRich replied to BigBoyinMS's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Run your hand over the rear tire. If it feels cupped on the edges that's your noise. The Michelin Commanders are noisy in the turns brand new. Good news is the bike has a 5 year warranty. -
HELP - Plastic Repair Tips Needed!
BuddyRich replied to Christo's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If you know of a store in your area that sell sheet plastics you can stop and get a small piece of 1/8 thick sheet ABS. Heating the ABS to 250 and you can form it to be a perfect fit . Then use some common ABS glue and stick it on. Or cut some small strips and glue them on. -
Cinderella Put down the answer in her second response. Hardly any difference in XP and Vista except they rearranged everything.

Every other year bounce between the western half and the eastern half. Like Land between the Lakes one year and the next 4 corners. Pick a spot that is somewhere people would like to go to for vacation so its doing both a meet and vacation. That way more would show up.

I have to agree with Brad. Its really not about pounding out a bunch of miles on rides during these meets. A lot of people will have already put on a bunch of miles getting there. We had more fun just sittin around and workin on, or talking about other peoples bikes. Then some short rides fell in place. Ft Collins had some mild weather for the summer which was nice. That's probably about as far as the guys on the west coast would care to go east for a meet. That was a 2 day ride for them. But it did seem there were a lot of folks that made it to CO.

Confused about BuddyRich Cable for Zumo
BuddyRich replied to Maritimer's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
I don't think the IC volume has any affect on the input from my cable. I have heard some say the passenger can talk and other say the can't This maybe from the front mic picking up what they are saying. -
You may want to consider adding a heavy duty spring to it if gets to whipping around too much. The spring will change the way it moves at high speed.

Unless you have a female dog also and she's well fed...

That sounds like a fair deal to me.

Put the bike in a storage unit till you can come back for it? If no one has a trailer you can borrow. And if they do who is gonna get the beast on it and tied down ?
