  1. Looking at Ivans third picture if he had the fore thought to rotate the coupler a little so the full label was readable we could get the Canadian tire pert number and size right of the label. Bad Form Ivan
  2. But I get waste oil from work for FREE. On a more serious note I quit using synthetic because I find the engine runs quieter on regular oil and when you think about it regular was good enough long before synthetic came along and dirty oil is dirty oil regardless which one you have and needs to be changed in a reasonable time frame.
  3. The Cow, The Ant and The Old Fart A cow, an ant and an old fart are debating on who is the greatest of the three of them. The cow said, "I give 20 quarts of milk every day and that's why I am the greatest!" The ant said, "I work day and night, summer and winter, I can carry 52 times my own weight and that's why I am the greatest!" Why are you scrolling down? It's your turn to say something, Carl
  4. Heck its all in the timing. as soon as the engine stops cranking usual at a peak compression point release and quickly rehit the start button, works every time, almost!!! but at least you don't have to buy 2 feet of expensive wire or replace or rework starter,,,leaving more time for BEER. PS if that don't work have another beer by than the engine will have cooled of enough to start. Did I mention AGM battery's cut into the beer fund too. Oh I almost forgot If you are away from home,,,, only shut off your bike at Icecream stands, by the time you finish your icecream it will crank. Now does that not sound so much better than doing all that extra work or spending money on useless stuff you can't eat or drink:thumbsup2:
  5. looking fwd to seeing the video.
  6. I think the hi intensity road flare would be much better.
  7. First lets just say that I am glad you are OK. With regards to trying to salvage your bike. Mine was written off too in 2007 and I bought back from the insurance company and restored it. So, here are a few pointers to consider. don't accept the first settlement don't go for the 1st buy back price they give you mine dropped $1000 by the time I decided to buy it back make sure the main structure is not distorted (even a small amount can affect the tracking of the bike. (I had my bike taken to my house so I was able to completely check it out before deciding) If and when you do decide to buy back your bike be prepared to invest a lot of time (and beer ) into the project. Don't cut cornors when restoring, do it right and while you have it apart take the time to do little extras like wheel bearings diff seals and anything else you can think of so you won't have to touch it again for awhile If you plan to farm it out to get someone else to do the work it most likely is not worth it because the cost will probably exceed replacing it. Lastly before deciding to buy it back find out how much time you have to make up your mind so you don't have to rush your decision (my insurance co gave me a year, not that I needed it but it gave me the time to go on vacation for a month and decide when I got back.

  12. Soooo if Gary's is the space shuttle would that make yours the space station. A little tip If the electric compressor behind the front axle gives out Which is used both as a backup and supply for the leveling system. Don't buy it from the RV dealer. They want about two grand for that little baby and you can get the exact one direct from the distributor for just under Two hundred.
  13. I am sure you have seen the e-mails floating around titled And They Live Among us. Well in answer to your question:backinmyday: Buddie you are a candidate:bang head:

  17. Apparently cats and humans carry the most bactaria in their mouth. Better to just get a dog to do the licking for you:178:
  18. i It actually states it will stabalize fuel up to two years. that is better than most fuel stabalizers that only claim a few months. They also claim to protect your engine from ethanol fuel damage. http://www.seafoamsales.com/how-to-use-sea-foam-motor-treatment.html
  19. I carry a truckers first aid Kit of the type that comes in a soft case about 3"x6"x8" it has the main essentials including a few field dressings usefull for most any injury big or small. I add a small container of peroxide to clean and flush wounds, a film cartridge with sugar in it (sugar is an excellant anti bacterial when used to dress open wounds and not as dificult to clean off once at the hospital as maney ointments are) a film cartridge of salt (a field dressing soaked in salt water is an excellant way to cool and dress burns). A small container of saline solution to rinse eyes sounds like a good thing to add ( as someone pointed out in an earlier post. My kit does not contain water but then I usually carry a couple bottles of drinking water any way.
  20. Prayers sent - hope he recovers quickly and fully.
  21. Not the dreaded RED X.
  22. I also found this info on seafoam with regards to ethanol fuel http://www.seafoamsales.com/tech-info-gas-engines/
  23. Is anyone familliar with any of the CRC fuel conditioner products? I came across this product http://crcindustries.com/auto/?s=06141 and this one http://crcindustries.com/auto/?s=05068 at the local Canadian tire store. With all the talk about ethanol spiked fuels lately, I went on the CRC site and found the following bullitin. http://www.crcindustries.com/files/Ethanol%20Fuel%20Stabilizers%20PR.pdf Has anyone used these products? How would you compare them with seafoam? Here is a link to a comparison of three of their own products as well http://crcindustries.com/auto/marine-products I also attached a PDF data sheet.
