Hey Squid I just did the math If you are 1,600 miles away. Then traveling at 2,575 KM/H it should only take one hour to get here. I believe there is a one hour time differenc so leaving your home at 4:PM your time should get you here in time to listen to Carl's before dinner speech.

Happy New Year right back at ya ---and to the rest of the Venture Family as well. May it be great one ---Only downside is I will be hitting the big 60 come June:backinmyday: Until then-------I plan on spending lots of time with Marcarl so he can prepare me for this slippery slope since he has already spent a decade on it.

If I had to buy a new helmet every time I dropped one I better start buying them by the case. If dropping a helmet from only 2 1/2 or even 4 feet renders it useless, I would have to ask just how protective would this helmet be in an actual collision. How much of this is ---A) to encourage continued helmet sales and--- B) just a means for company's to protect themselves from lawsuits. (The second being somewhat understandable since the majority of lawsuits are bogus money grabs.).

Very well put Fuzzy, though I must confess that though I was baptized and confirmed a Christian, my beliefs are not as strong as they probably should be. I tend to be one of those confused souls sitting on the fence, always unsure. I do however respect those who are strong believers as well as those who do not believe at all, as long as they both believe in Humanity and being Christian like towards Humanity. May we all respect each others outlook on life and may all have a great Happy and Prosperous NEW YEAR:group cheers:

I havent set a fixed time as yet, I was hopping for some feed back re: the best time. At this point it is still open to feed back. I also am sure that the owner Kerri is somewhat flexible on closing time if we have a large enough group. I will make sure and follow up on this. However at this point I am not seeing much of a head count so whoever is intrested please post so I can have some idea of numbers. Using the idea of a fixed menu Kerri has put together the following dinner choices. Menu: Appetizers: Choice of (1): Mixed Greens Salad OR Caesar Salad Mains: Choice of (1): 1) Prime Rib 2) Chicken Cremona 3) Salmon Steak All above served with Roast Potatoes, Fresh Vegetables + Garlic Bread 4) Shrimp and Scallop Pasta in Rose Sauce Served with Garlic Bread. 5) Apple pie and Ice Cream for Dessert.

As mentioned in a previous thread I was thinking about setting up a Meet and Eat at the Table Top Restaurant in Burlington ON. Sat Jan 5th. this is the weekend of the Big Toronto Motorcycle show. I realiize this is a bit of a short notice (due to me being in Germany most of December) but Last years was such a great success with a wonderful turn out that I thought it would be nice to give it another shot this year. So if anyone is up for it let me know and if enough interest is indicated I will set it up. Exact time of day yet to be determined, I was thinking of about 6:00 PM----alternate Time suggestions welcome. P/S The Table Top is an excellent Restaraunt with great food huge portions. Also very easy to get to. being just a couple turns of the QEW.

I have been spending my vacation in Germany and Holland and so far having a great time. They sure know how to kick off Christmas here early with hoiliday drinks and food. I will most likely gain back all the weight I have lost over the past couple months but how can you say no to all this good food etc. Quite a few people here are still riding regardless of snow or cold. Holland even has 1st response Motorcycle ambulances. The idea is that a motorcycle can get on the scene faster and get a head start on initial care getting the victim preped and ready to move by the time the larger response vehicles arrive. Weather does not seem to stand in their way either. I will post pics when I return home.

Thats easy.........By not letting it get OLD.

Alternatives for passing lights
saddlebum replied to PERM44's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
At work we have been installing the following LED utiity lights on the new trucks coming through and believe me they are bright. I made the mistake of looking directly at one and even at a distance it was like staring at the sun. They come in two versions one which directly replaces a par 36 sealed beam and the other which is self mounting and is totaly weather proof. The nice thing is you ca get them from most any truck dealer or parts dealer that deals with Grote and most of them do. Here are some interesting links. http://www.grote.com/Trilliant36/ http://www.grote.com/Trilliant36/LEDConversionBulb.html http://www.grote.com/prodcat/attachments/Trilliant36InfoSheet.pdf http://www.grote.com/prodcat/attachments/Trilliant36-BulbAndBracket.pdf -

Also once the replacement tab has cured you ca use a blow drier or hot air gun to warm up the mold making it very easy to remove
