Depending on your daughter's age and the WEATHER try Brookfield Zoo. It's about 15 miles straight west of downtown. Highway 290, I grew up next to 290 back in the 50-70's. 290 can be a mess at times because it's the main e/w leading in/out Chicago. No tolls need last time I was there. Cb

I buy it by the gallon... I use it in every engine I own....boat , bike, lawn equipment, cars. Farm stores have the best price, about $55.00 a gallon. Cb

I use a stock Venture light bar with Yamaha Stratoliner lights. These lights have 2 bulbs each that can be replaced instead of the sealed lights. Cb

2005 Midnight ..... Goldwings have upper support bars with pads for the rear passenger to rest their arms on. They swing back so the passenger can get off the bike . Looking for same thing for a Venture. I hope that helps ? Cb

I have had a 3 different tubs for at least 35 years due to lower back problems, try to use the tub before you buy. Also try to get as deep tub as you can find. When you sit on the seats some tub seats are so high the most of your body is NOT in the water. Also try to get EVERYBODY that will be using the tub at the same time ( friends/family) in the tub together so you can see how you all fit together. About covers, covers last for me ( outside) about 4-6 years. GET a cover lift, it's a bar that when the cover is off the bar stop the cover from sitting on the ground. Also get a Spa umbrella NOT from the Spa store, the want $300.... places like Home Depot etc sell items the sit on the outside of the tub and hang over the tub. Big Lots sell one for about $100. I have four bad lower disc and floating ON the water is the best thing for me. Wal Mart sells a $20.00 float that has an outer air chamber with a mesh center. I can lay across my tub floating with all of my back just floating in the hot water without ANY pressure to my back. Also get for floating in the lake. I also agree about stereos and lights not needed. If you want music just bring a radio. I list to audio books most of the time. My local tub store will do a weekly water check for free with a computer read out of what chems. to add. Most chems, are added by weight so get a good digital scale. OH.... to help with keeping your clean ( NOT DIRT CLEAN BUT CHEM CLEAN ) take a shower before going into the tub, your body has sweat and stuff. ALL so if you need to wear swim suits wash them WITHOUT detergent and let air dry. I am done..... good luck.... questions ? Cb

I have had a caddy for about ten years. I used it once with a BMW 1100rt and NEVER used it again. The bike just did NOT sit right in the caddy. I use a trailer now. If someone wants to buy a caddy cheap I am in Mountain Home Arkansas May work okay with a smaller bike. Cb

You better check your state laws. Certain light colors in front of cars/motorcycle? are for certain types of vehicles only. Cb

I am 60 something and been riding for 45 years. My disabilities have finally caught up with me and the Venture has gotten to be hard to ride. I keep looking at Goldwing trikes but really like my Venture. There is a trike dealer an hour south of me called Misty Mountain trikes. Has anyone been there or have information about them ? What are them "must" items for the best conversion ? Loaded question but please answer... which kit is the best ???? A Goldwing rider mentioned to me that a Venture DOES NOT have the POWER for a good bike conversion....OPINIONS ???? Cb thanks for any replys.....

I grew up outside Chicago many years ago (40 yrs) and I would recommand trying to get to Chicago on a Sunday morning. Try to stay somewhere outside the city Saturday night and then leave early Sunday morning. I travel to Rockford Ill to see family and most of Ill is flat and miles of corn fields. takes me about 10 hours to get from M/H to Rockford. Arkansas... I live straight east of Harrison ( 1 hour) on the main road that travels all the from east to west in this part of the state ( hyw 62). I like route 160 in Missouri about 20 miles north of 62. ANYWHERE DOWN HERE GET GAS BEFORE YOU NEED IT, a lot of small towns have disappeared with no gas stations. All the traffic that travels this part of the state use that road. Google Mountain home Arkansas and blow it up untill Springield in at the top and Little Rock is on the bottom. You will see only 1 main road and that's R 62. It's a nice road but very little in passing lanes . If you take "B" roads expect to travel 35-40 in an hour. If you want to take a ferry ride Google "peel arkansas " and track the road back to branson. Also youtube "peel ferry arkansas" there a some tubes of the ferry. I have been in M/H for 10 years and have about 40,000 miles of local back road riding. Youtube Pigs trail and Push mountain road arkansas for 2 of the best rides in Arkansas.
