  1. You had to ask ! What else ? Good luck with the storms
  2. 1700 cc FI will big a big help on these bikes. Should outrun a Goldwing then.
  3. I use a long pair of needle nose and just reach in from behind to change the bulb. You will have to turn the wheel all the way to the right and reach in from the left side between the tank and the inner fairing.
  4. We won't be able to attend this year. The grandkids are coming to live with us for the summer and their momma is having another one as I write this. Wife is still in school and cannot miss too many days as its near the end and testing will begin in the middle of July and then her externship will start right after that.
  5. Then he'll need the modulite adapter.
  6. Rick, I have had alarms that were not set correctly and a cat or the wind would set them off. My current truck has a Viper in it and it was installed and setup correctly. The alarm won't go off unless something strikes the vehicle, I know cause if I throw something light into the bed (like a 2x4) then it goes off. Its also a 2 way which means the remote has a pager in it and starts beeping when it goes off. Good for a 1/2 mile I think. You would be surprised how many wanna be thief's and alarm will ward off. If a pro wants it though he'll get it no matter what you do.
  7. Depends on the lighting on it. The RSV uses a different wire of both turns tail and brake. So if the trailer or carrier has both left and right turns plus brake and running you may need an adapter. Is he going to use a standard 4 lead trailer wiring plug for the lights on it ?
  8. The RK's drilled out will be deep without being loud. The Baron's seem loud to me
  9. That stinks. Clubs are kinda useless since they figured out how to cut the steering wheel with bolt cutters and slip it off. Next time get a decent alarm with ign cut off. Course it coulda been somebody with a tow truck and they just towed it off.
  10. Remove the handlebars and change the valves to 90's or rotate them if you can
  11. We will continue our prayers for you and her JT.
  12. Well, If he pushed 800 lbs up on a trailer while it was in gear, I AIN'T gonna make him mad at me that's for sure. Musta lost the clutch somehow. But that would mean it was engaged and would not slip. Must have a bad slave an its stuck in.
  13. Yap,Yap,Yap,,, :rotf::rotf: I can barely keep up with the forums, Chat is just tooo fast for me.
  14. Many OLD loop detectors are still in operation. But breaking the loop for a split second such as starting the bike won't work well because it will be detected for only that second and the controller will sense it as the vehicle moved on if its a newer controller. Look at the cuts in the pavement. If there are 3 cuts such as in a large or small figure [|] (but all connected) then its a motorcycle loop and you should be fine. If it looks like [] without a line running thru the middle of your lane then it probably won't detect you no matter what you do. Also look at the mast running over the road on the other side of the intersection. Many newer ones are using radar and will have a small device sticking up so you should be fine there. If the light won't change I usually wait for it to cycle all the way around twice and start back on the third. BE VERY careful when running a red light. If I'm waiting for a left turn I will go ahead and go straight and then do a U turn. But if going straight then I wait till the last of the cross traffic has cleared AND they still have a green. Remember if you have a left turn lane coming at you they may have a LAGGING or LEADING green arrow. If its LEADING and you take off across the intersection too late they will get a green a while your coming at them. If its lagging then both sides of the cross traffic will be red and stopped but now theoncoming left turn cars were stopped and get the green to go right across your path and your running the light. And if its heavy traffic why do it at all ? Someone will pull up behind you in a minute. But I have seen where the bike had to move almost totally into the crosswalk for the loop detector to pick up the car too. They are affected by temp and rain.

  21. Mine will click if turned up past 12 or so. Rearranging the wires under tank has had some good results in fixing the problem if I remember right.

  24. Rear Cylinder ? Are you talking about the painted fins or the chrome cylinder head cover ? Black around an exhaust would indicate a leak to me.
  25. I think the dealer if full of BULL. He never heard of a Fuel Filter. Bad gas is always an excuse for ovecharging for doing nothing in my thoughts.
