  1. Hey, Russ guys like you and me arent fat ot portly, we are what you call "circumfirentially challenged" and the outerwear manufacturers need to wake up and start making clothes that fit right on us "real men":whistling: LOL! Brian
  2. I HATE GRAVEL!!!!! ....nuff said...... Brian
  3. Fine here, how up to date is your virus scanner? Conficker worm affects some forms of Java and scripting in Internet Explorer. Brian
  4. Here is a couple of tricks that Rocket used when he completely overhauled my bike from top to bottom. For bleeding the brakes he uses a turkey baster with the end filed down and then threaded into the under seat resevoir so you can see how much fluid you have when flushing your brake lines. Also he had a tool put together that really helps when putting a clutch back together. Thank again Paul, I really appreciate all the help and sweat you put into my bike! Brian
  5. Here is one of Rockets little tricks that he used on my bike when he flushed the lines.
  6. Ive put the xxl clearview on my 85 G1 and I love it! just my eyes and forehead are over the screen and it cuts the wind so much better than the 22 in Slipstreamer that I took off the bike. I also had them add the vent and tinnted it grey, It looks so much better than the old windsheild and seems about double the thickness also. It is about 2 in higher and probably 3 inches wider than my old windsheild, and the windshield actually covers part or the rear view mirrors but it doesnt interfere. Its worth the money ! but check their area for blems you can save a lot of money. Brian
  7. I have the kuryakin longhorns offsets, and I love them they can move almost anydirection to give you any length or position you need to be comfortable. I have mine mounted on the horizontal bar on my crash bars but I know Condor has them mounted on the forward vertical bar on the crash bars cause he is such a tall guy. Brian
  8. Hey Jack that looks good to me, it looks "even more organized" now than when I saw it last August. I like to think of it as Jacks Ark for venture parts as Ill bet he has 2 of every part in there somewhere. Heres a couple of my "garage"
  9. Nope, I am betting its cause you didnt have a speed limiter device on it (on the back seat, that is):no-no-no: Brian
  10. Ive ordered a couple of theses from cycle fuel, they dont hold much gas, but it will keep you moving a bit closer to gas stations. They are shaped right not to take up too much space and are guaranteed not to leak. http://www.cyclefuel.com/ Brian
  11. But I do......I am loving mine again....... Brian
  12. BUT, he certainly does now......darn .....seemed like a good idea at the time to save some time and money..... Brian
  13. I dont think there is anything you can do with faded paint as the color is under at least one coat of clear, so buffing wont brighten the paint, it just wears your clear coat thinner. I think I am right, but I am not a painter, i am sure others will chime in if I am wrong. Brian
  14. If youre interested in the spoiler like his I have one and cant use it now. My paint dude was sposed to fill the holes from my trunk rack so I could mount the spoiler-led bar. the bar wouldnt fit under my rack so it has to go , if youre interested i will bring it out to Nelson. And yes it is black so it should match your bike. Brian
  15. Hi Bob! I am real glad youre back! I think youll love the new Scoot! But where are the pics? It was a gorgeous day on Sunday wasnt it, glad you too the opportunity to enjoy! Brian I hope you can make it to the ride on MAy 16th to Moose Jaw and then out to Tessac2's place.
  16. It sounds like youre hanging it a bit high Lowell, i thought they were to be hung clser to the ground....LOL Brian
  17. I hope it works out well with the bike youre looking at, it will be good to have you back on the G1 side of things....lol! But you cant have your tires back.....heheh but I do have a couple with some wear on that you can have cheap! Brian
  18. It Depends, Were you asking about the G1 or G2 venture? Brian
  19. I am going back to my oem stereo after installing a pioneer car stereo in my 85 G1 last year. I dont notice a huge difference in sound when moving at any speed. and I REALLY miss the heads up tuning and mute buttons, and the speed sensitive volume control is great when pulling up at a light is a huge plus to me that I didnt think I would miss. Ive tried the FM transmitter and they didnt work very well, I found I got more volume and clearer sound using the cassette adapter with my OEM stereo. Brian
  20. I understood your humour, sorry if I caused you to any issues, my comment was meant in jest as well, OOPs!
  21. I would check flatout motorcycles, they have all the parts lists and diagrams online. Their prices seem pretty good most of the time, and let them know that youre a memeber here for a discount. Brian
  22. Geez you are a long legged guy Jack, Ive got the same pegs on mine and theyre mounted about 4 inches back on the horizontal bar, lol! Brian
  23. I am running the MU I dont know of anyone running the mt. Brian
  24. Nope that aint the case, just ask Lone Eagle what happened to his beautiful etched windshield when he was following me down to VW IV last summer. I think he might still be trying to get that misty oily film offa his bike, (I moved to the back after I realized that my real seal was blowing oil out) Brian
