HEY!!!!! Thats Glorious Maxie Brown, lol! I think instead of calling your bike "Ugly" u should call her GLorious or MAxie she might cooperate with ya more. Those females do get tempermental about stuff like name calling.....:rotf: Brian:stirthepot: -
Even at temps around freezing mine only gets about 30 secs to a minute, as i think these engines distribute oil better at faster-than-idle speeds, and if its idling faster i might as well be riding it rather than standing around in the cold. Brian

The headlight modulator is a Kisan Pathblazer and a very simple install on a 1st gen. It just plugs into the headlight socket and then you plug the headlight into it. Then hookup the daylight sensor. I dont think it will work on a 2nd gen because of the difference in the electronics. Brian

I had a slipstream on mine and i found it scratched easily and there was distortion along the top curve. I ordered a clearview xxl with vent and lite grey tint for my 85 G1 and have been extremely happy with it for the past year. It provides much more protection from the buffetting than the old windsheild and I love the vent in the hot weather. Its an expensive windshield but i think its worth it as the plastic seems much harder and the optics much better than anything else Ive looked at. Check out their blemish section if you think of ordering clearview. Brian

As long as its dry and sunny, its never too cold to ride. Ive seen a guy out last winter in -35c (prolly about -30F) . Just be aware that the tires are hard and take it easy in the corners and youll be fine. Brian

I wasnt sposed to be on a bike yet after having sinus and tear duct surgery on Wed, but it was ssoooo nice around here on Sat that I was getting cabin fever and decided to go out for a short half hour ride to one of the beaches close to town. It was 33 C (92 F) on Sat with light winds, absolutely gorgeous!!! Deb and I had a great afternoon on the deck of the restaurant overlooking part of Regina Beach. Brian

It took me 2 weeks to realize the new noise in my scoot was actually the new fancy hard plastic key chain I had bought up at Crater lake last summer. :whistling: Brian -
That sounds like a great idea to me too:whistling: Brian

Well this went south , all anyone wants is to help find a good place for the Intl rally it really doesnt matter to me if we call the Kruisn the Kootenay Rally Intl or not, but it is a great place to have a rally. I think most of us were just putting up valid ideas and opinions. I was just putting up a reminder to out US friends before picking a spot that if they picked Kootenays they would need to have a passport to return to the US. It would be greeat if we could keep this discussion on track and pick next years spot. thanks Brian

It sounds like your week went like mine, I had the EVA4400 stall twice last week while we were running payroll......wow, talk about stress and long days. This expensive piece of crap isnt even a year old and HP keeps saying that it need just one more firmware update. Both failures were caused by just one harddrive failure in the array of 48, what happened to the redunduncy we were promised?:bang head: Good luck with yours Rick Brian

I agree with SilvrT and Sailor that they are some of the best roads and scenery that Ive ever ridden on, with a friendly town and reasonable prices I like it a lot out there. We already have the New Grand hotel booked for next July long weekend for the 2nd annual Kruisn the Kootenays, but it wouldnt be a stretch to make it into the Intl Rally. It is time for the Intl Rally to be on the west side of the continent and it is fairly close for the California guys. Riders and passengers from the US would need a passport however, to get back into their own country after visiting Canada. Here is a link to the website I set up this year for Kruisn the Kootenays, it has lots of info on the area and pics. www.kruisnthekootenays.ca (It is a bit outdated at the moment but I will be putting this years info on it when we get more details.)
