Well spent most of the day out in the shop with K-Rider, we made good headway on the engine teardown and tranny swap. Got the 83 engine all apart got the tranny out of it and out of the 86 donor motor. Gene had to leave early, so I finally got it into the 83 cases, wasnt easy by myself but finally got in in and started closing up the cases. We found a bunch of metal shavings in the bottom of the engine, those had to be left over from when the pinion gear got all tore up. We think we got it all out, I forgot to bring the little baggy in, so I will post pictures of it tomorrow. It was amazing how big some of the metal was. I had to order all the gaskets but forgot one, have to go back and order the water pump cover gasket, also ordered the new fusebox upgrade from Skydoc. Lookin forward to getting back on board the Venture.

Last year at Cody I asked for someone to take a picture of me while I was riding my bike down the highway. It was a couple and I forgot their names, my bad. I was wondering if they still had the photo and could email it to me or PM me and I would send them my email. I would really like to have it. I forgot all about it til recently. Steve AKA Bubber

I dismantled the starter switch and housing to clean all the internals of the switches. I'm in the process of putting it back together. There is a wide half circle clip that I forgot where it went. Any suggestions please. See picture. Please ignore the other 2 parts.

I forgot where to look to see when it is time to renew membership. Can some one please give me a hand ? It would be nice if it was set up as an automatic e-mail about 2 weeks in advance. Then you just send the money Pay-Pal. Or maybe it already is ? Fuzzy

I need some help.... it seems that whoever borrowed my steering head tool has not returned it yet,,,, I know I lent it to somebody, but the somebodies I asked so far deny having it,,,, so either I forgot who I lent it too or I haven't asked the right body yet. So I'm hoping that there is nice-body who might be able to help me out in the dilemma.

We all make mistakes. We all have that embarising moment that we do not always share. Well time to get them out. For me my embarising oops was after fueling up my bike I steped in to pay. I got to chatting with a friend that was in the store and forgot all about what I was doing. I left the store and took off. About a half hour later my wife got ahold of me and asked if I had forgot to do anything. Of course I said nope, all good. She started to laugh and totaly puzzled I asked what was so funny. She then told me I left the store and took off without paying for my gas!! Lukily we are friends with the store manager. Shaun

Having the rear tire replaced tomarrow morning with Metzler ME880 180- 70- 15. As you know, stock is a 150 -90- 15. Anyone here know if there will be a problem with tire clearance? I have read on this site that a certain size can be a problem, but I forgot with one.

Got the new battery in, added some fresh gas, these things dont run real well on a strong fix of Sea Foam, but once I got the gas in and had her fired up she ran just like she did before I took her apart. Still have a few small items to take care of, the main one being the rear brakes.........aint got none, I forgot to replace the brake fluid after I did the brakes......DUH. other than that she is road ready, I put about 10 miles on her, didnt want to take her to far from home just in case, besides I didnt have the new license sticker on it.......... So here are the final pics.

We made it home from Vogel about 3:00, got everything unloaded but not sorted out, that will come. I just want to thank everyone who came out to support our St. Jude effort, dont have a final figure yet I will be tallying that soon and posting it. I also want to thank all those that pitched in and helped with the rides, picking up downed bikes( only 1), carb syncs, everything mechanical, giving rides to little old ladies, not once but twice, food servers, those that donated door prizes, just a great bunch of people., But most of all I need to apologize to someone very special to me, I forgot to thank the most important person in my life, and that is my wife Charlene, while at the shelter I thanked a lot of people openly and forgot my loving wife, so, Thank you for all your support Charlene, I couldn't have done it without your support, I love you and thank you for putting up with me................

Seat Bolts: Anyone know the size of the nuts that hold the drivers seat in place. Had the bike worked on and it seems they forgot to put them back. Thanks Joe

Just got off the phone with Gary. He survived the surgery and except for the fact that the hospital is trying to starve him, he is doing well. He expects to be released tomorrow or possibly Friday. If anyone would like to give him a call, he has a phone in his room. Forgot to get his room number, but the number for the hospital switchboard is 1.218 732.3311. Ops, his last name is Kloehn.... Sorry bout that.

Another Member came up to see me for a day of Fishing..Jimspa drove up all the way up from Ohio for a day of fishing As you see in the photos he's fighting a Huge Northern Pike .....and...... he lost it .....Well I should say I lost it for him....... I was so anxious in trying to get a good Photograph I just forgot to help him with the Fish (or did I hehehe) He caught one of the smallest extinct rarest fish as you see in the photo graph ( L.O.L.)

Had lunch at Fibbers in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, on Lake Weiss, yesterday. It's a great down home cooking buffet that has excellent food and maybe the worlds best banana pudding. They serve it hot and it is........indescribable! A friend and I did about 300 miles r/t yesterday just to have lunch there. (Oh Yeah, I forgot who I'm talking to here, not such a big deal to this group ) Anyway, we got there just ahead of the crowds and by the time we left there were lots of folks. And as usual there were a number of bikers there. As we started to ride away I noticed a blue 2nd gen. I didn't take time to go back in and ask everyone who owned it but I did leave a VR.O card. I was just wondering if it was anybody that is a regular on here. Hey Eck, you know everyone in Al, who might it have been ? You know......one day we need to do a M&E at Fibbers! ummmmmmm We also rode through Little River Canyon and East Rim Drive. The falls were beautiful and the trees were still at their peak, so we peeked. Here is a picture of the falls, not as we saw them yesterday, but a picture from the web. They weren't running this hard, but they were running. You coud walk out to the edge. I forgot my camera. (:~
