  1. I just learned this and thought I would pass it along to others who may not know........... "The Meaning of the Flag Draped Coffin" http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=2&fid=Inbox&inline=1 Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used GOD's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think it's high time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history. Pass it along and be proud of the country we live in and even more proud of those who serve to protect our 'GOD GIVEN' rights and freedoms. I hope you take the time to read this ... To understand what the flag draped coffin really means .... Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers. Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776? http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=3&fid=Inbox&inline=1 Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day! The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=4&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=5&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=6&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=7&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, 'Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.' http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=8&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that they pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of their republic. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=9&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=10&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded. The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=11&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=12&fid=Inbox&inline=1 The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding them of their Nations motto, 'In God We Trust.' http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=13&fid=Inbox&inline=1 After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today. There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why. Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of 'Liberty and Freedom.' http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f19902%5fAERFv9EAAW4CTwDHAAu%2bexbKZkA&pid=14&fid=Inbox&inline=1 MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. FORWARD IT; MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM. IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS. ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

  8. These were some of the Pictures I took from our North East Intruder Alert Ralley. We keep it small and it enables us to do some pretty cool stuff every year. Last winter we lost one of our members to diabetes so the pictures of us up on the mountain were from a tribute ride for him. We had a small urn of some of his ashes and spread them up there. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/hunter1500/th_IMG_0230.jpg http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/hunter1500/th_IMG_0184.jpg
  9. Brian Fries aka Friesman1 has offered up a Headlight modulator that he is not going to use. It is brand new in the package. It is a Pathblazer. Retail value of about $50.00. Now in order for someone to claim this unit there is a catch. Before I explain the catch, you need to know that the proceeds of this sale will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. If you have read previous posts about our efforts to raise money for St. Jude, you will know that others have had fundraisers to help with this cause. This year we raised $3,450.00. This brings our totals for the past 5 years close to $9,800.00. We not only raise funds this way but also by visiting the Mean Dog Tribute site where contributions can be made. If you want to have this for your own and help out the kids at St. Jude, all you have to do is make a $25.00 donation to the Mean Dog Tribute site. We only have one so the first person to post wanting to make a donation will receive this headlight modulator. The link for the Tribute site is at the bottom of this page in my signature. Thanks to Brian donating this item.
  10. Ok last one been away had to catch up. I didn't shoot this one a friend did, so it's not in HD This was me and buddy doing a little unrehearsed tune at a tribute we had for a fallen friend at our Local Yamaha shop last summer. my VR buddies Donob11 and Mariner Fan came down and hung out with us that day, so I thought it apporpriate to share her, with my other musician biker friends. 12. While browsing VR site this morning, Mean Dogs pic popped up in the pics at the top of the page, so I took that as a reminder to bring this back up to the top so others that havent visited the site might do so, and maybe even make a contribution to St. Jude in his honor. Mean Dog's Tribute

  14. To all the members and friends of Mark Still aka Mean Dog for visiting his tribute page and leaving a message about Mark for his family and friends to see and for making donations to St. Jude Childrens's Hospital, hopefully we can make a difference for the kids, for this was very special to Mark. If you havent had the chance to visit the tribute page, I have the link posted at the bottom of my post in my signature "Mean Dogs Tribute Page". Donations are not required to leave a message or a comment. There are also some pictures posted in the photo album for all to see. Thanks to all and God Bless.
  15. If anyone has any pics of Mean Dog, Mark Still, if you could send them to me I would like to post them in an album that is located on a Tribute Page for Mark, on the St. Jude Children's Hospital web site. There are some pics there that I had from Vogel 2007 and the Memphis ride to St. Jude. This was a charity that Mark was passionate about, and in Marks honor we can donate to St. Jude via this page. There is also a guest book that you can sign and leave a message or memories of Mark. I know Mark would be happy if we could raise more money for the hospital to help find a cure for the disease that took his and many other lives. I have set an ambitous goal of $10,000.00 to be raised in his honor. Every time a donation is made, Nancy, Marks wife will receive an email stating that a donation has been made in Marks memory.
