  1. I added the wing on mmy trunk lid, I guess you can't do that on a RSTD though. What I also added was Hyperlites................ www.hyperlites.com, I like the way they look and work. I also put the LED rings in. They glue to the rear turn signal lenses and run as running lights and also as extra brake lights, but the turn signals stay amber. http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/tsk-star&sport.htm No pics but the back of my 05 is pretty well lit up. Others had added the Harley set up but I dont have a link. Hope this helps
  2. thanks for the update JT.........was wondering myself how things were going out there....keeping you huys in our thoughts.
  3. I'm bummed, we've never been to that area and it's definitely on our 'to go to' list. But my son is getting married on Labor Day weekend, so between that, and the limited time we are allowed off during the summer, going that distance and back in a week wouldn't be practical. Retirement is looking better and better...........
  4. :rotfl::rotfl:that's one of the funniest things I've seen in a LONG time!!!!!!
  5. Excellent news Don!! After the weekend from he** that I had I needed some.
  6. Glad to see one of the good guys made out. It still sucks that your bike got hurt but nice to see an insurance company doing the right thing.
  7. always had a good experience too. Had a question, called them and got a very nice answer. Tires were delivered in the time frame promised. Only problem I had was that the FedEx driver was an idiot and too lazy to deliver them to my house. Wasn't SoWest's fault and the FedEx thing is no longer a problem.
  8. those are life changing experiences.....I've seen some horrific things on my job and it always makes me appreciate everything that I have. Give your son an extra hug and an ear to unload..I know he'll need it:bighug:
  9. LOL Cupcake...........I'm on vacation starting Tuesday........maybe taking a few days to just 'go nowhere' and find a Timmie's myself...........few things to do around the house, then we leave for Ocean City MD on Sunday.......back on Wed and having 45 - 50 people over for Mom's B'day on Sat....I'm gonna be looking forward to getting baco to work so I can relax!!!
  10. Unfortunatley insurance companies run the asylum and what you were told is how they handle it. I would fight them on it. I have written reports making it VERY clear that one party is in no way at fault and was later told by that driver that the ins co. still screwed them. Not sure how you can fight it though. I guess they think that you should just be happy that no one got hurt seriously. Good Luck
  11. I pack really light stuff in our rack bag. We got the one from Yamaha.....no more than 20 lbs though
  12. I had them on my Voyager too with no problem for about 6000 miles. Then I sold the bike and got the RSV. HOwever, the Voyager is a MUCH lighter bike so I'm pretty well convinced its the extra size on the tire and the weight
  13. Finally got around to installing the parts I bent up when I dropped my 05.... Total of the damage wasn't bad, thanks to Ponch who 'donated' the trim ring for the headlight. I replaced the headlight and passing light visors, checked the front fairing really well and it diesn't seem damaged.....engine guard was saved by the highway pegs, so I really made out ok. I'm going to add the slightly bent visors to Eck's list...they're usable, and might need some straightening. Also going to make the headlight trim available if anyone needs one really badly. Its usable, just has a crack in it. Now if I only had time to ride the stupid thing!!!
  14. Schweet ride kids!!
  15. Congrats on the nutials !!! May you have many years together.

    It's over....

Reiny, We couldn't make it this year but I'm sure that everyone had a great time thanks to all of you and the rest of your groups hard work. Thank you Now...about that "questionable attire".......................
  17. I've seen the bike up close and it IS a beauty...hope you get a decent price for her Scott.
  18. Can we NOT talk about what a great time you all had and what a great group was up there and how it was SO nice to meet and talk to everyone. Those of us who couldn't make it do NOT want to hear it!! :bawling: Glad you had a good time (I guess)
  19. I second that........when the time comes to replace my 05,I will be very hard pressed to get another RSV, as much as I love it because there is NO local dealer worth a plugged nickel. Hicksville is about an hour and a half from here. The one I THOUGHT I had found actually told me that she 'really didn't have time to deal with the I basket issue' I had...it was all I could do not to tell her off.
  20. I have a set like those in the garage, brand new. If the part numbers match, I'll let someone have them for a good price......anyone interested, PM me and I'll check the numbers tomorrow
  21. 16,ooo miles, lotsa chrome and add ons. Great bike , not ridden too hard...........its a bargain price too.... only 22,000 any takers???
  22. IN 23 years as a LEO, I never wrote a ticket for goig througha yellow light. Of course, in NY the yellow means 'hurry up its going to red!' If I'm watching a light, I take int consideration how far away from thelight they were when it went to yellow and if they coiuld have stopped in a reasonable manner when it went to red. In a few cases where it went to trial, I never lost because the judge thought I was more than reasonable. Saw a few that were close, but usually gave them the benefit of the doubt if someone was following too closely (of course the tailgater usually got a ticket then....) I wish they had DWHUA as a cause on accident reports LOL
  23. Good Luck with it.........ask if you need help.........these folks can talk you through just about ANYTHING on one of these things.
