  1. Ummmmmmm....I put our helmets in upside down.
  2. this is creating visuals that I just do NOT wanna have............please, please for pity's sake..stop.
  3. thanks for the update JT, I'm sure Jeannie is thrilled to be back with her loved ones. Thoughts still with you guys.
  4. No anyone can buy raffle tickets
  5. I wish gas was 'only' 3.99. We're at 4.29 now
  6. Figured I'd fess up. Pullled into a gas station on the way home from Don's yesterday. I'm in the habit of leaving the bike on the sidestand while Sam gets on and off the bike. Gassed up, went to start it before she got on, couldn't get it into neutral so I picked it off and put the stand up to start it and get it into neutral, brain farted and forgot to put the stand down, started leaning it and over she went. Fought like heck with it but couldnt stop it, she eventually stopped up against the pump. Only damage I see is the headlight visors are shot and my stupid ego. Does the 'Dropped it' club pay dues??
  7. Don, Eileen and Dylan, Sam and I can't thank you enough for hosting this event every year. I know how much work it can be and on top of all the planning, to actually spend the day working on people's bikes is just indescribable. I had actually thought that I would suggest that instead of a Maintenance Day, just make it a giant Meet and Greet, with a little work getting done, but not the amount that has been done. Once these events get TOO big, they get out of hand. This year I saw more people working on their own bikes with help from others and that seemed to work well. As for the food, it was great and I suggest that anyone who might complain be put in charge of the food for next year's event. We are already planning the trip for next year.
  8. Give Hope a hug from us Charlie, we missed you there.
  9. Jeff, you, Brad and whoever else helped you did an INCREDIBLE job on this project. I was so happy that fate interceded and allowed the "reveal" to be done at Don's so that I could watch it. The presentation was very well done and even though it was 'off the cuff' I don't think you could have planned it better. Muffin was truly surprised and Iknow that he and mini will run that thing ragged. It was great meeting you again and we look forward to seeing you again.
  10. We finally madeit in at about 7 tonight. Made great time until we hit the George Washington Bridge...what a shock, traffic in freakin New York City. Then we drove right into T-storms and near tornados for the last hour. Had an incredible time, met some more great folks from here, re-met some friends we met last year. We have only one regret, that we live so far away that this can't happen more. No pics from us as the camera died so you'll all just have to look at everyone elses. Vin and Sam
  11. its all been said...we're here for you JT
  12. Sorry to hear about your Mom, our thoughts are wit you and your family.
  13. Bike is mostly packed, we'll be outta here by 10 Am tomorrow, stopping somewhere along 80 whenever we feel like stopping. If we don't feel like stopping, we'll call the Oberlin Inn and see if we can get our room a day early LOL. Looks like we'll be at Don's Friday PM to help set up.:cool10:
  14. I'd love to have it Goose but I have so much stuff on my bars I don't think it will fit!!
  15. gonna be interesting to see how you fit all that stuff in the side bags.
  16. I might be interested in a carb sync, maybe lubing the fingers and since the original coolant is in there maybe we can change it out. I'm sure theres somewhere I can get some near Don's, don't think I'll be interested in schlepping it all the way down there. Other than that, I won't need anything, but I'll be available to help out with anything in the garage. I carry my sockets and allen wrenches anyway so I'll have some tools but if I remember correctly, Don and Brad pretty have everything neeeded.
  17. We will be there...arriving Friday early PM and will stop at the house if you need help setting up.
  18. Use mine all the time and don'thave any scratches either.
  19. there's another song that reminds me of this group JT...... 'That's what friends are for'..Dionne Warwick,Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Gladys Knight (don't ASK me what year)
  20. Congratulations on the new addition Clay.
  21. same thing happened to me
  22. JT, I'm speechless here, can't even begin to try to understand how you and your family are feeling. I guess all you can do is surround yourself with your support system (all of us included) and know that if I could take any of your pain away, I would in a heartbeat. Try to make the best of your time with Jeannie Vin
  23. LOL I had this problem too when we were riding the Smokey Mountains....I had to ride in the back bacause it was scaring everyone behind me
  24. Its definitely the pins. I actually thought I had a warped rear rotor but once we did that, the noise went away.
  25. I have mine mounted over the right side reservoir. I used a Roady mount. Split the fairing and put an extra power point in there and ran the wires in there. Also plugged the sound cable into the spare jack in the side of the radio. Works well but I have to zip tie the radio to the mount because the vibration and wind push it around and the radio loses power once in awhile. Rode half way across the country without having to change the channel. Its one of the best things I put on the bike.
