  1. Wow RS, what a 'welcome back'. Sorry to hear about your trouble. It sucks that some clueless idiot has to almost kill someone and then ruin a (usually) enjoyable experience. Hope you recover quickly.
  2. That happened to me a few times. I usually back way off the trucks, they're usually moving right along anyway. Problem I have is when one of them passes ME...then the spray makes it interesting.
  3. We've worn the Nelson Rigg for about 5 years now and gotten alot of use from them. I agree that they are an excellent deal. There are some cheaper but in my opinion, none better. we've worn them for 2-3 days in a row on some of our longer trips and they are dry and comfortable.
  4. Gotta love this place..............
  5. We've had a sort of crisis here over the past month. About a month ago, my wife Sam called me from work telling me she needed to go to the ER because she was having chest pains and shortness of breath. It was the longest 10 minute drive of my life to go pick her up and get her there. After 6 hours of tests and more tests, they told us that it was definitely NOT heart or lung related, her blood tests showed no heart attack and she did not have blood clots in her lungs. (Now...Sam had no idea what the lung tests were about, but having run on ambulances for 30 years, they scared me the most because I know how bad they can be)Anyway, they let us go home and she went to visit our regular doctor the next day. They wanted an echo-cardiogram, which was done. We got a call a few days later that they might have found something wrong and she needed to see a cardiologist ASAP.It seems the echo cardiogram showed her heart might not be pumping properly out of the left side. So....more tests and another 10 days of waiting on pins and needles, today we got the results of everything. Seems the first echo cardiogram was wrong and she is fine........seems the chest pains were probably caused by either a pulled muscle of a torn rib cartilage. I'm not really a religious person, but as we got into the car after leaving the doctor, I DID look to the sky and say a thank you. Those of you who have met Sam know how special she is and she means the world to me so the past month has been very stressful. I think I now know at least a part of the anxiety that some of you are going through with your loved ones, and believe me, you all have my thoughts and best wishes. I don't know what I would have done if the news was bad.
  6. Ohhhhhhhhh............I could say so many things to get myself in trouble so...........I'll just ask Sam what SHE thinks....I'll get back to yas Smart move....no??
  7. Cindy and Dale, In 23 years as a LEO, I have seen this kind of stuff before. Unfortunately, the mother sounds a little unstable and in a sick way might be jealous of the 'attention' that others are getting. It's a psycological disorder that is out there. I still believe that there are other victims of this animal out there, either they haven't told anyone or the ones that they've told are in denial. Thank God that YOU listened and acted. You and your family have done nothing wrong here, remember that. Anything I can do to help, just call or write. Vin
  8. Congratulations Gary Matt and Valerie!! I couldn't be happier for you guys!!
  9. at least the idiot didn't hurt anyone else.
  10. We have Broadband cards in the laptops we use in the PDs. They actually work pretty well. I would cancel my cable internet and get a card for my laptop but we have a PC in the house and would still need cable.
  11. Scott, I was actually considering painting mine let me know who does yours and after I see it, I'll decide whether I want to use them LOL I actually have a pretty good body shop here, so all I'd have to do is strip her down and decide the colors, just a matter of $$$$$ which will be scarce since I have a wedding coming up.
  12. Great news, Welcome Home Cindy......now get to work getting better!!

  20. Has anyone here used any of the tour companies like Eidelweiss when riding in Europe? I think I want to plan a tour of the Alps and theyseem like the way to go. Any input will help. Thanks
  21. Thanks for the news....I was wondering how our Southern members were making out. Looks like its gonna be a rough season.
  22. Anyone who doubts Brad's honesty and sincerity should put it aside. I have absolutely no doubt that every penny given to him towards this event will go where it is intended. The only reason I haven't sent anything in yet is because it ain't payday yet. But that will change on Thursday.
  23. Thanks for the update Rick,, please keep them coming. Glad to see positive progress
