I would run the 880's did not like the feel of the avon's in the corners. I guess it all depends on how you ride. I have the elite 3's now if I could do it again with the same knowledge I would put the 880's on. I get around 12,000- 15,000 miles out of a set.

I put the 880 on the rear of mine before replacing the stock front Dunlop with no issues. I used the Dunlop around 5,000 miles before replacing it with the matching 880. I immediately noticed a improved ride and cornering ability. We live in East, TN the dragon, the skyway, the triangle are all in the back yard and we ride there often just another rode around here. I wouldn't hesitate at all to put another set on.

I've always run the metzlers always had great experience with them, usually get around 12,000 miles or so out of them. I run pretty hard and never any issues and had them on several different bikes. I put a set of the elite 3's on to try mainly because of all the hype on how good they are supposed to be. The elite's do lean in better ( less effort ) but do not ride or corner like the 880's. It may be because I am so used to the 880's and how they feel that I'm not liking the corners as well but the wife also noticed the ride difference time will tell. The price of the elite's was better then the 880's and hopefully I can get some extra wear out of them. My

I just put a set of the Dunlop E3's on saturday jury still out on them. I only have around 30 miles on them but so far a lot more noise and no where near as smooth as the Metzler 880's I always have run ( even the wife made a comment ). I hope the notchy feeling goes away after some time or I get used to it one. They do have a better initial lean in will have to wait and see. I had myself talked into the Michelin Commanders but went with the E3's instead because of all the reviews. My

Not sure I can remember them all. 3hp mini bike was the beginning Honda CL90 Honda CT110 Honda 125 Elsinore Kawasaki KX 175 Yamaha YZ 250 Yamaha YZ 360 Suzuki RM 250 Honda XL 185 stripped for dirt Honda XR 185 Honda XL 250 Kawasaki H2 750 Honda XL 350 Maico 390 Penton 175 Enduro Maico 440 1951 Harley hard tail suicide clutch ( pushed it as much as I got to ride ) 1974 Harley Electra Glide ( strong oil leaker made me walk a lot to heavy to push ) 1981 Harley Heritage ( no comment ) 2003 Harley Sportster ( hopefully my last ) Suzuki GS 1100 Suzuki GS 1100E Kawasaki KZ 650 Yamaha YZ 490 Honda CR 500 Honda XR 250 Honda XL 600 HusQvarna 510 Husqvarna 610 Honda CR 250 BMW R 100 Suzuki GS 850 L Current Bikes 1978 Yamaha DT 400 1998 Honda CR 250 2003 Royal Star Venture 2007 Suzuki S40 ( wife's ) Looking for something smaller when the wife starts riding. My son currently has 8 bikes and he is 16, think I may be a bad influence I know I missed a few had several at times rode them all. My favorite was probably the H2 could put the fear in you at will, the skinny bias tires the ill handling and top it off with that crazy 2 stroke power.

how much air pressure for front and rear
stroker ace replied to Bwhite's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I run 3 front and 40-45 rear, usually always two up. -
Had a few lessons about that. Had both bikes at the same time going from one to the other was a eye opener either way. Once while on the interstate in heavy traffic seen a gap at around 80mph jabbed it down a gear grabbed a handful and it politely stood up, Scared the crap out of me. I had never been around that kind of power and really haven't been since, I was 17 at the time. A guy I work with first bike was a Yamaha RD 400 and it threw him off at road speed doing the same thing. He still talks about it though and wants one back.

My first real street legal bike was a Honda XL 250. A few months later it was followed by a bike that will ever stick in my head. A Kawasaki H2 750 triple it was the dark green with a lighter green stripe bought it new. I sure would like to have one back that I could afford anyway.

Appreciate the time and effort involved in doing this, Payment sent. I hope to do the brake upgrade soon. Thanks

When you go to the link or classifieds just click on the buy it now and it takes you to it.

It should have ball joints and not king pins ( one or the other not both ). I would think the front springs have gotten weak and let the front end settle ( / \ ) like on some of the low riders. A set of new springs ( | | ) back good as new my opinion, with that many miles probably needs ball joints also.

I guess when you grow up on these kind of roads it's just a road to get some where and to others it's a accomplishment to ride such a rode. I live and grew up on the triangle aka hwy 116 and drive or ride the dragon enough that's it's just part of life here. I guess it's one of those things you take for granted. I personally like the cherohala skyway and hwy 64 in Franklin NC scenery is better and no one trying to prove how fast they can get killed. If your into riding curves you can't leave out hwy 421 aka the snake in the Johnson City,TN area. My

LED Rear Light Replacement
stroker ace replied to 2Whlsrollin's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have one along with some of their led products, no problems. They stand behind their product I'm sure they would fix it if you had the time to mess with it. -
Don't think you will be disappointed with a subaru. I have one now ( impreza wagon wrx ) and have had a couple in the past great vehicle. The forester and tribeca along with the new legacy have a lot of room. They have a utility version of the forester ( maybe a has been now ). My wagon has pulled my 4x4 truck out of the mud before. I'm probably going to buy another used one when my honda finally lays down. My

Looks like plenty of power by the looks of the front tire, it must push a bunch in the corners.

If you would sell the horns you would be a one stop shop. Thanks

Looks to be a great job. Now for me to purchase the horn, then I'll be set.

Oil and gas in exhaust
stroker ace replied to thoward's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Has it been ridden much or at least run for awhile since the carb. work ? It may just have some residue built up in the exhaust that it is burning out. You could use it for a flame thrower if you could get it to back fire. -
You can do what I did years ago and get xm radio that way you can listen to what you want when you want. Yes it costs a few dollars but worth it to me.

On the bottle Aka ( nitrous ).

The one my neighbor has is a single cylinder, possible engine swap or did the older ones come that way. I'm not sure what year it is but it looks newer but they didn't change that much anyways. I never have kept up with them. The wife wants the Suzuki S40 single cylinder 650 but I'm trying to sway her toward the v-star 650 but she says it's too heavy.
