  1. So how does the Pull Lands land I assume that after you pull and pull you throw to get the land correct poulan. I've never owned one. I bought the stihl because of close local dealer and he made me a great deal especially on the second one. I have a old McCullough (spelling) eager beaver that sets on a shelve bought at a yard sale needs to go back in one. My dad was a homelite man homelite zip when he died, that or nothing except he had a old David Bradley saw that I still have. I've used it a couple of times years ago.
  2. We tried it where I work it did not perform up to our specifications. We still use Loctite use Loctite 425 on plastic no problem
  3. Just because he spent the $10k on modifications doesn't mean he will get that back.
  4. I bought 2 new saws this year out of necessity. We had a big wind storm come through and took out 8 trees plus damage to more and took out 250 foot of fence. I have a old Jonsered ( had it 25 years )that will start just about the time you give up, then runs great then getting it started again blah blah. I had a choice of a Husqvarna or a Stihl, I bought a Stihl because of the local dealer closest to me. I bought the 460 for the big stuff but way to heavy ( for me ) to do the trimming with so I went back and bought a Stihl 180c for that been happy so far. Husqvarna's are great saws or used to be along with others. I looked at the Echo line because of warranty 5 years but they seemed cheap made don't know never had one. I've cut a lot of wood using a Husqvarna and Stihl, you should be good to go for a long time. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQtgOpAaz2hmiIUEVSlx7HAc1LdYJNKa3uR8Cyc54wL-P97F3WECQ
  5. I'm done... thanks guys
  6. Thanks, man I may have finally figured where all the smoke was coming from.
  7. What year on the IT400? I have a 78 DT400 and a 83 YZ490, plus a lot more junk lol.
  8. Gas all the way here, for everything is possible. I couldn't ride my scooter without gas, my r/c cars, mower etc. I couldn't imagine the old ways without it, horse and buggy not my thing heat and wipers just not up to par.
  9. Please don't tell my work truck about the K&N filters it has had one since new day one. It's the first thing I change it has 678,535 miles on it still running strong just got back with it a few minutes ago. Everything I own has a K&N in it if it will fit including the lawn mowers.
  10. I got rid of my Ural about 3 years ago just never could adapt to it. Traded it for a Rokon trail breaker. http://www.rokon.com/index.php?p=1_4_Trail-Breaker. It's not street legal but I never used the Ural on the street either.
  11. Quick look on ebay stratoliner engine $1100 used venture to cut up to see if it will fit $5500. Man hours, shop rate to machine the stuff, paint, seats etc from cutting the frame all the unknowns $10,000:detective: you should be able to get in one for under $20,000.
  12. Was thinking it could be a one page book. but honey........................but honey......... etc you get the picture.
  13. Sounds like a great basement lol. I have the six speed gears to swap along with some sprockets just never got to it. Here's a little more info. https://sites.google.com/site/mb5supersite/technical
  14. That was my next suggestion pick up a nice used older v-twin and have both. I have the venture and a vmax can't take much more than a 100 miles at a time on the vmax but can do a 1000 miles on the venture easy. A few of us took our old bikes pre 80's out for a 500 mile loop a few weeks back. Wow was I ready to get home the RD,CB,KZ and a friends old Moto-Guzzi wasn't as comfortable as anyone remembered. Butt's out of shape for a flat seat that far anymore. Sorry I never got into the air-cooled, push rod, chuggin v-twin type power of lack there of, good torque though just not my thing. They build both so everyone has their choice.
  15. I sure have, haven't had it out in forever though. Mine has the black body and frame with a red stripe 1982 model with the euro fairing added and factory luggage rack. It has had some work done to it, piston, carburetor and different exhaust. It will run 60mph wide open screaming but cruises nicely around 30-35mph. :cool10:
  16. As they say the truth hurts sometimes. could go buy a Hardley I guess, air cooled push rod engine and they already have a touring model.
  17. My question is why?? How do you figure its more? both about a 100hp but your stepping back in time with the air cooled push rod engine for what? wait its 1854cc!! Spend some money on the 1300cc cams, springs, higher compression pistons, carbs. etc. and keep embarrassing the stratoliner at will. order some cams and springs for the 1300 some straight pipes and you will never know a what a stratoliner is.
  18. I'll take 10 of those please at the $2000 price:stirthepot:.

  20. A good friend of mine bought a 1975 Suzuki GT750 aka water buffalo over the weekend. He had one when we were all back in school. It needs a little work, looks really good was a one owner bike.
  21. I prefer EBC brand HH compound myself a little noisy on the front but stop a lot better. You will get where you never notice it. It's not a big noise but is noticeable. MY
  22. Yeah back in the early 70's not street legal race only bike even though I've seen several that were fitted with lights back in the 80's. It was the same bike that Kenny Roberts raced in AMA in the early 70's, it won the Daytona 200 8 or 9 times in a row. They had a dirt flat track edition also. I've heard different stories about them around somewhere around 350 pounds and around 150 horsepower. I actually got to ride one a couple years back at Barber's vintage bike bash. WOW!!!
  23. The picture of the red and white bike is a 1984 RZ500 liquid cooled V4 never sold in the U.S.A. it is street legal. I reckon a few got brought in back in the day, the guy I got it from had bought it from someone in California. The old RZ350 went liquid cooled somewhere in the mid 80's just not sold here. They did fit the engine into the banshee four wheeler though and then killed it off some time in the mid 2000's. I always wanted one of the mid 70's Yamaha TZ750, I think if you have enough funds you might be able to dig one up.
  24. By the way, the 750 Kawi triple was the H-2. Fast in a straight line, but, like the 500, it had a fork that felt and acted like it was made from cheap plastic - really scary on a winding road or coming off a wheelie! My body couldn't handle that riding position for long anymore, but it sure would be fun to go for a quick run again. Andy You are correct it was a H2 mark IV I think, the brain ain't as good as it once was. lol
  25. You could still buy the RZ350 up through the mid-late 80's. I had a 84 RZ350 Kenny Roberts edition that I bought new, sold it like a DA in the mid 90's. I found the pair of 77's at a garage sale back in 2000 from the original owner been sitting for a few years. They still have the original paint, the seats need upholstered, tanks, carbs, brakes etc gone through. I've been riding the blue one since 2001 after my friend rode it he bought the red one from me. Last fall I found a RZ500.http://www.rz500.net/index_files/RZ500_1C.jpg This is not my Bike but what it should look like when done.... if ever My first new bike ever was a 1973 Kawasaki H3 750 triple at age 16 lived to tell about it. I traded it in on the 84 RZ350.
