  2. I still drive a camless engine 2008 turbo Mazda RX7 Formula 1 experimented with the actuators several years back
  3. I put the two end bolts and the manifold loosely on the head and with just hand pressure check the gap between the manifold and head. I usually use a .005 feeler gauge, If I can't remove the feeler with just hand pressure I use the ultra copper rtv as the gasket and install. If it's over the .005 I use the gaskets.
  4. If I'm not mistaken they only made this bike in the U.S. for 2014 so make sure it's what you want. The F6B has the flat 6 1832cc goldwing engine.
  5. Rode it in the rain, rode it in the rain at night. The worst was in a very dense fog, been riding that rode 38 years now. Speed Limit was 50 mph for some time then 45 even had passing zones, now its popular and now its 35 mph with double yellow the whole way.
  6. My longest one day ride right at 22 hours and 1400 some odd miles, Albuquerque NM to home ( family Emergency ). I left Albuquerque at 4am my time and got home 2am my time, all I-40 except for the roads home. I only stopped for gas mostly did snack and drink some, finally stopped to eat in Nashville,TN around 11pm and finally in the drive right at 2am. This was in April 2008 My longest ride was in May 2012, myself and 3 friends road the 10-10ths ( 10,000 miles in 10 days ). We had a blast, staged it out of Nashville rode 500 miles out to a restaurant we wanted to eat at then back. We just had to do it 10 days straight, it would take a book for all the details.

  8. Good to here Yammer Dan, glad you made it back home with that Tennessee air riding in the back. Hopefully the weather will back off some and we'll meet up somewhere. You are welcome. I know nothing
  9. And gets worse by the hour. I've been riding 47 years always have said was going for 50 years and rethink it. We've been bumped twice at red lights by people creeping forward while playing with their phones. We've had two near miss head on's missing by inches people on their phones. My bikes have been sitting, ( normally average around 30,000 miles a year ) I really enjoy riding but just hasn't been worth the risk as of lately maybe getting time to call it.
  10. I don't think it's blinker fluid either because I don't see a lid.
  11. This was the same problem I had with mine. I did pull the baffles and wrap them with the fiberglass wrap helped some but they were still loud on trips over 50 miles ( ride to work ). They came off a friends hardley and sounded good but no where close on the yamaha. Its like headers and glasspacks the drone was awful. They went back on a hardley and the guy is happy.
  12. I've been doing it off and on for 18 years. People watch to much tv now days and think they have a gold mine and try to charge accordingly there still is some bargains to be found but you have to put forth more effort to find and a lot depends on what you are looking for. Stay away from the areas that have normal flea markets and yard sales all the time, it's the same stuff you can see any day of the week except on the side of the road this weekend kinda thing. Crossville, tn is a big one for this, avoid this area if possible it can take over a hour to just get through here because everyone jumps off the interstate to have a look see. I've always found the best deals in KY from Albany on north. They are several that just are in a large fields, towns etc. Be prepared to sit in traffic and depending on where your at driving for several miles before you see anything, take snacks and drinks with you. Everyone and there momma plus all there friends are also doing this. Usually some awesome BBQ in Danville,Ky. We usually start in Glencoe,Ky and work our way south. We ran out of money and room last year rented a uhaul trailer and still had to make a return trip to get it all lol and the funny thing was we were looking for none of it. Pull in and off the road on some of the single yard sale signs you never know what you might find. my
  13. I've had that problem trying to get to work more than getting home myself.
  14. Rode it like Rosco and Boss Hog were chasing me to and from work lol got a little floorboard action in on my road 116 aka the devils triangle.
  15. It's nice to visit but not this time of year there is no a/c as someone else has said and at $60 a head to get in it'll buy a lot of gas to do other things IMHO.
  16. I actually think its hwy 191 you get off the parkway and then to 112 to 23/74/19, Lake Junaluska is pretty nice place to stop and visit there is a walk way all the way around the lake. You can always jump on hwy 209 aka the rattler there and ride to Hot Springs, NC http://209therattler.com/ There is to much to do and not enough time lol.
  17. If using Tobes creek ( exit 451 ) to 32 to 321 part of 32 is gravel. If using the 440 exit pavement
  18. I live on the devils triangle aka hwy 116 it's just another east tn back road almost 48 years of riding this road that now has a name. I'll be glad to show you around if the time permits. My suggestion on the skyway is to run it to Robbinsville, Nc and take the 129 south just past the Mcdonalds to hwy 74 left to Cherokee or a right down to Andrews,Nc and Murphy Nc to Cherokee casino there lol. The one in Murphy is small compared to the one in Cherokee. Stay on 441 to Dillard Ga and eat at the Dillard house be warned you will need a nap afterward a touch pricey but worth it imo. You can ride the Blue Ridge Parkway while in maggie valley toward Gatlinburg or Sylva,Nc which connects to hwy 74 might want to check out Bryson City,Nc and Waynesville, Nc while in the area. You can send me a pm for any more info.
  19. I had the monster ovals, great for around town or parades etc. Just to loud on long trips regardless if by myself or two up. I really like the looks of the monster squares also. I pull the baffles and wrapped them with the fiberglass wrap but still to much drone on long hauls for me.
  20. Nothing major but a lot of trees down one just missed the house by maybe 2 feet. Been hit twice in 3 weeks, had a confirmed micro-burst 3 weeks ago ripped power lines, poles and transformers down without power and a/c for 2 days with mid 90's temps. Ripped the tops out off all the trees in the yard have several huge oak and maple trees. Last Thursday got hit just straight line winds of 60+ more trees down but power stayed on this time. Neighbors house, tree through the roof into the kitchen and through the sink, roads blocked, cows out, crops laid over but no one hurt. Trees falling killed 3 in neighboring counties.
