  1. We've not been on it since fall of 2011 very doable on a bike. Mostly paved a few areas/spots that had gravel repair type stuff more than dirt unless somethings changed. It is slick at times from tree sap, limbs etc.
  2. I got it this time... It's a automatic seafoam dispenser one in each saddle bag.
  3. second gen doesn't have a factory tach.
  4. I think he took the trailer so he could be like all the other Hardley riders. Tows it most of the way parks trailer a few miles out of town then rides in "what a ride".
  5. I thought it was for the manual v-boost or to arm the nitrous system.
  6. Mine works regardless if on trip or miles by just pushing and holding just the select button as XV stated.

  10. I'm not sure I would call it a upgrade but the HH pads are a noticeable improvement over the stock pads.
  11. http://www.boats.net/images/labels/Y-4NK-11193-00-00=8e6b5c9b.gif$19.47 x 2 at Boats.net Item #35 under cylinder head. http://www.boats.net/images/labels/Y-4XV-14562-00-00=48d5fc13.gif$5.23 x 4 I think this is all you need to do the floats. Boats.net Item #25 under Carburetor The EBC pads shop around ebay has good prices. Do not use DOT 5 brake fluid. You can use DOT 5.1 as mentioned or a good DOT 4 IMHO.

  14. ( Don't tell ) it's 14 years old that's why he has to go get that new one.
  15. DIBS on that old worn out out dated V4 you have.
  16. Yep they are $3.24 here at walmart and yes the K&N will fit also.
  17. Yes all roads are open. Just to name a few in the area Blue Ridge Parkway, Foothills Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, 441 down to Dillard GA to eat at the Dillard House etc. It goes on and on.
  18. I don't agree with that statement at all. You should run the recommended air pressure. Maybe learn to lean or enjoy some curves.
  19. I had the Vance and Hines Monster Ovals and they are loud for extended periods of riding, great for running around town errands etc. sold I have a set of BUB's ( cone tip ) and a set of Krome Werks 3 1/2 slant back with the touring baffle "touring lite". They both sound about the same, deep tone and tolerable on long rides ( 500-600 miles for a couple of days ). I also have a set of Peacemakers turn downs or turn outs ( 3 screws to take out to turn ). These are my favorite for around the house, errands parades etc. but to loud for long runs. on the bike now I have a set of stock Harley slant back with the 2 front baffles removed that I run most of the time louder than stock but not annoying on long trips ( 500-600 miles a day stuff for several days ). It's like everything else different people like different kinds of loud. IMHO
  20. I wonder if it's the same area as earlier this year. We were in that direction sometime in April and they had if blocked off going in that direction, not sure what mile marker it was then.
  21. don't tell anything I own, everything runs premium except the 03 Venture and the stock 05 Vmax.
  22. Slime plug kit and the $16 slime air compressor from the Walmart.
  23. I'm the opposite no more E3's for me. I've always had great service out of the Metzeler, always ran max psi. Currently on all my bikes except the venture, running Michelin on it. They were out of stock had to have a tire and Michelin was all they had, no problems with it so far.
  24. Naw, that's the way we talk to all them idiots that call, just fact of life.
  25. 35+ years of riding, gravel no problem. I would do it without thinking twice. My driveway is a mile of gravel.
