  1. I agree keep the oil changed no problems with the turbos. You don't have to run premium fuel either, it will last a long time. http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/specifications/engine/
  2. You could find a local shop that does a total fluid exchange. Have it towed change the filter before and after the process then your done. Yeah it might cost a little more but all the contaminated fluid is gone. A Typhoon is a lot of air anyway it should air dry itself. I used to have a Syclone and a couple Grand Nationals.
  3. I agree a plug/patch or just a patch works great. I've not had any issues using them front or rear. They make these in different sizes / diameters / patch and stems http://www.advrider.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=305525&stc=1&d=1323739495
  4. "yippee ki yi yay ------ ------" Bruce Willis Diehard
  5. I would think the contacts in the hazard switch. Possibly the the hazard relay it would be easier to check there first. Thinking out loud.
  6. I'm over half way there I have 6 each has there own thing.
  7. I will agree that you can buy a kit for anything for a HD and get a shirt to boot. They have all the clothing and jewelry also. I have had a few Harley's the last being a 2002 ultra and all with terrible reliability issues I guess it's the way I ride. I'm not trying to start a which is better bike dilemma but wish Harley would build a water cooled non vibrating tourer that I didn't have to rebuild every 30,000 or so that I could ride. Wait that goes against everything Harley.
  8. I guess my dream Venture would be the new vmax engine with a flashed ecu to around 190hp with better lighting, braking and suspension. I can live with the rest.
  9. Yep Cherohala is closed till further notice. http://www.grahamstar.com/articles/2013/01/17/breaking_news/doc50f86f49a2530449359649.txt
  10. I'm sure others may chime in. I have the ll in the rear stock size and still have the regular commander on the front. I don't like the way my bike handles with the 130 on front. I don't think you can get the 170 on the rear will hit the drive shaft housing. I have seen were some have put a shim inside the drive spline area to move the wheel over for clearance but it's not something I'm going to do.
  11. I'll second that. Local dealer has a black single seater and the red double seater. Would like to trade one of the vmax's in on it but.
  12. Sorry for the disappointment Swindell again, I thought Larson had it there for a few.
  13. It's one of them there fancy Ice Cream bowls. or maybe a antique seafoam container:stirthepot:
  14. Looks good, I just checked the stock Yamaha pads .250 of pad material and the EBC HH pads have .265 not counting backing plate. Not sure how much they vary if any.
  15. You can do a search a lot of info. The thread is the same as a spark plug end (small ) screw a old plug in grab with vise-grips and pull out to remove. You can use a dime, some tape etc on the inside of cover to put a little pressure on the plug to help with the leak. The plugs get hard and start to seep just replace when you change the coolant. You should be fine with it if just riding it a while IMHO. I rode mine last year from Florida 650 miles with the right front seeping home. It quit leaking after the engine heated up, I kept a good check on the coolant level at gas stops. I ordered new ones and replaced when I got back. Item 9 Plug 90338-11152-00 $5.52
  16. Agree with the above. If you can find a local operator they can tell you what needs done on the prep work and a lot of it you can do yourself and save some money. My local guy does it for $60 a wheel if ready and goes up from there if he does the prep.
  17. I got a new helmet and surprisingly my boots survived. After a good clean and a shine the Left boots looks like new, not a scratch. The right got a gouge where the sole attaches to the main part of the shoe, mostly cosmetics, but I will see if I can find something to fill it, that can flex a bit an waterproof. Any ideas? Glad to hear your getting better. I had my right hand reconstructed after a accident it takes time. I have used this stuff with good results on hunting boots and such. http://www.plastidip.com/
  18. Here is what I used, it's in the house in what I guess could be called a utility room. It is pretty much a catch all room lol. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/btl-gf75cn822sg/overview/ We have been looking at redoing it using Modulite and in the basement just for the different types and colors.
  19. ENJOY!!! We have warmer weather 60's but it keeps raining lol.
  20. Works shock here also, no problems yet had it 5 years (bike is a 2003). I went through 3 factory shocks all under warranty when the last one went the bike was out of warranty. I decided to go with something else. No particular reason for picking Works, was what I found and they answered the questions I asked, I paid $685 then. I ride 2 up 95% of the time it did take some tuning to get it where I liked it. You do have to take it off every time to adjust the preload on the spring but that's not that hard IMO.
  21. can't Dodge that one
  22. Sorry there Miles, We have 4 Subaru's, but not enough snow. If we lived where it did snow a lot or got deep enough, I would have to have one with the tracks. We did get a 1/16inch of snow last night all gone now lol.
  23. We used it in our local riding group to start with. They were all face bookers though so it didn't last long, so not much experience with it. I don't book so.
