Agree with the above. If you can find a local operator they can tell you what needs done on the prep work and a lot of it you can do yourself and save some money. My local guy does it for $60 a wheel if ready and goes up from there if he does the prep.

Update From Miles' Bolivia / Chile Trip...
stroker ace replied to GolfVenture's topic in Watering Hole
I got a new helmet and surprisingly my boots survived. After a good clean and a shine the Left boots looks like new, not a scratch. The right got a gouge where the sole attaches to the main part of the shoe, mostly cosmetics, but I will see if I can find something to fill it, that can flex a bit an waterproof. Any ideas? Glad to hear your getting better. I had my right hand reconstructed after a accident it takes time. I have used this stuff with good results on hunting boots and such. http://www.plastidip.com/ -
Here is what I used, it's in the house in what I guess could be called a utility room. It is pretty much a catch all room lol. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/btl-gf75cn822sg/overview/ We have been looking at redoing it using Modulite and in the basement just for the different types and colors.

ENJOY!!! We have warmer weather 60's but it keeps raining lol.

Works shock here also, no problems yet had it 5 years (bike is a 2003). I went through 3 factory shocks all under warranty when the last one went the bike was out of warranty. I decided to go with something else. No particular reason for picking Works, was what I found and they answered the questions I asked, I paid $685 then. I ride 2 up 95% of the time it did take some tuning to get it where I liked it. You do have to take it off every time to adjust the preload on the spring but that's not that hard IMO.

Almost makes you want to go play in the snow...

Sorry there Miles, We have 4 Subaru's, but not enough snow. If we lived where it did snow a lot or got deep enough, I would have to have one with the tracks. We did get a 1/16inch of snow last night all gone now lol. -
We used it in our local riding group to start with. They were all face bookers though so it didn't last long, so not much experience with it. I don't book so.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTDNLUzjkpg]DC SHOES: KEN BLOCK'S TRAX STI CAR - YouTube[/ame] http://www.mattracks.com/vehicles/ I rode a 4 wheeler with the tracks on it, was a blast. -
My connector always vibrates loose on my headset and the next thing I know silence.

I didn't say I had a gps was just showing what others had found using a gps. I personally would not own a gps. What fun is that? My whole point of riding is to go places I've never been and to stop and ask for directions if needed. I have met some really nice people and friends that way of course they are exceptions to that also. I could see living in a city or from the city possibly needing one. Where I'm from you turn by that big old tree on the corner, problem is the tree's been gone for 20 years lol.

Looks good!! There is no comparison in lighting from the gold-wing to a venture. You can help the venture but still no where as good as the gold-wing IMHO.

I wouldn't say I'm in the know but I use the Binks HVLP " M1G "(m one g) gun decent priced, parts available and it will spray all the new paints with the right tips/nozzle installed.

Got around 500 miles of riding in today 38 degrees to start 61 the high east TN west NC area.

Draining the water pump
stroker ace replied to DarkLeftArm's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Guess it depends on the person. I do it around every third year or 75,000 miles or so. If I changed every 26,000 it would be every year or real close to it. It is not a have to thing but if trying to get all the old out that you can then pull the plug my . -
Both the wife and I's daily drivers were bought for gas mileage, not a Prius or eco box. She drives 100 miles a day and I do 75 miles so it does count.

If more of a hissing type sound it's the HH pads. If you had stock pads before it just takes some getting used to the HH sound.
