I have a question for the brethren, it's about my Harley. As some of you know I have a '79 FLH Electra Glide that I'm working on getting back on the road. I want to install an oil pressure gauge onto it, it had a cheap one, with the plastic compression fitting tubing. I want to put a good quality oil filled gauge that will stand up to the vibrator. I also want to use a braided stainless line from the oil pump up to the gauge which will fit up in the fairing or on the handle bars. If y'all have some links or personal experience I'd love to hear from you. I have 2, 4 day weekends coming up for Christmas and New Years and 1 of those weekends are going to be spent doing nothing but working on my Harley....Thanks in advance for your help with this

Well the time has come and I am going to give up being a OTR owner operator. I will be leaving Thur. to take my lease truck back to Mn. and turn it in. I landed a dedicated run here 1 mile from the house home every night and no weekends. It will end up about 11 hours a day and $975.00 a week I think it was a good deal so I jumped on it. LESS STRESS. :dancefool:

No, not me. Shirley semi retired from Lucent 8 years ago and has been working retail part time since. Her social security checks started in May and she quit that job today. We finally got our weekends back.:dancefool: This means your gona have to put up with me more on the meet & eats. Youve been warned.

Spoke with JRichard today about doing something during Bike Week. Since I no longer have weekends off I mentioned that ill most likely be down there on the 2nd (tue) or the 3rd (wed). No official plans are set but most likely we will get together at US-1 Restaurant in South Daytona for lunch. Dont know what everyone elses plans are but thats where ill be. Kinda sucks giving up weekends but hey, its a job........We have been meeting there for years. Kind of like an old shirt...... Hope to see some of yous there....

Well, I did it...gave up my weekends for my wife. Her position was eliminated and she had to bid another position. We both had Sun/Mon off. She got stuck with tue/wed off. Thursday I bid a new position and I had a nice selection of weekends off. I took a tue/wed position to match hers. 6 pm to 230 am. There goes some planned Meet and Eats. Im still having the one on May 8th here with Blackjack, so.......... Please tell me I did it for love............

OK -- time to upgrade the sound system. I already know about the speakers, but what about amps? Who is happy with theirs? Where do they go? How difficult to wire? I am NOT an electrical genius, but I know what sounds good, and it is not the stock setup. Hep me! Hep me! This weekend's trip to Austin finally convinced me that the current set up is not good for highway speed(80 mph) and wind(in my face).
